SAVE this for your next Sedona trip! 1. Faye Canyon (2.3 mi) + Faye Canyon Arch (1.5 mi) You’ll have to veer off to your right to get to the arch. The side trail is marked by carins so keep an eye out just a little ways into the main trail 2. Birthing Cave (2 mi) Short moderate hike with amazing views. It’s very sketchy to climb into the tiny cave itself (you’ll see) so please be careful and know your limits! I didn’t make it in šŸ™ƒ & that’s ok! 3. Subway Cave (5 mi) Take the Boynton Canyon Trail about two miles in to a black & grey burned area on your right. You’ll see a trail that will take you to the cave. What sites would you add to the list? *as always, please be respectful and leave the trails better than you found them . . . #womenwhohikecolorado #coloradohikers #womenwhohike #outdoorbella #climbyourmountain #getoutside #winterhiking #visitcolorado #coloradoadventures #winterhiking #outdoorwomen #wildernessbabes #wildernessculture #colorado #livearadlife #coloradohikers #greettheoutdoors #andshesdopetoo #lifeoutdoors #hikersofinstagram #getoutmore #sheexplores #lettheoutsidein #mountaingirlsdoitbetter #visitarizona #visitsedona #arizonaexplores

This trail is flat to the end unless you verge to the right and climb up to the arch. The trail up to the arch is easy to miss and closer to the beginning of the trail. The climb up is very rocky and you gain some incline. At the end of the trail, you will cross over a fallen tree and take in some incredible panoramic views of the canyon. It looks like there’s a trail that goes around the canyon that is very narrow and i only walked a little ways before turning around. This is a quick trail to explore with great views. We headed here after completing the 6 mile Boynton trail and made it out just in time for sunset. The parking lot is big and had a lot of vacancy at the end of the day and not very populated this time of year. (January)

There are actually 2 trails in one. Look at Fay Canyon Trailhead reviews for the main trail. This trail, however stems off with an unmarked path (see second photo). We missed it at first and did the main Fay trail but caught the arch trail on the way back. I’m actually really glad it worked out that way! It’s short but mostly vertical rock scrambling. The big bonus was there was cell service up at the arch so we could check into our flight! (See 7th photo)šŸ˜‚ Back at the trailhead there is lots of parking, toilets, a picnic table, and a kiosk for buying the $5 daily trail pass which is good for multiple trails.

Thank you to the others who left good directions in their reviews, because it helped me be able to find the trail in the snow. Definitely walked past it at first but caught it on the way back. Once you find the start of the trail, the rest is clear and way to navigate up to the arch. It has some moderate parts, but if you've made it up Cathedral or Bell rock, you'll be fine on this one. I really enjoyed it with all...
