National Youth Sports — Local services in Four Corners States

I honestly wish I could give zero stars. I know this season was rough for whatever reason and I tried to be understanding but nothing has been done. We had our 3 children start this fall season and it has been nothing but issues. First the season started late… then games started almost a month late. My younger daughter and son joined basketball teams, which have been okay getting all the parents to figure out everything, because we weren’t getting much feedback from NYS. And not knowing what was going on… We found out a few weeks in that they are having a lot of drama with financial and owner issues…Thankfully both of the basketball teams were able to figure out practices and times without any help and we started practicing the following week. Now… Our other daughter we signed up for volleyball… none of those parents could find an available volleyball court that would fit anyone times. Some parents wanted to pay for some facilities but not everyone agreed. All of the parents on this team contacted NYS and none of us heard back from them. The last text message I got from another parent on that team was “oh well, guess it’s not meant to be”. I have emailed, I have called and I have left a message. No one responded to any of those, but I see that they have time to comment on recent reviews. My daughters volleyball team never started playing … never started practices… and her team was just not added to the game list without any other information given. So I paid for an entire season for volleyball and my daughter is not playing. She gets to watch two other children in our house go to games and practices and she doesn’t get to go because NYS couldn’t get it together or communicate what would happen with her team. Paying for a service your not receiving kinda sounds likes fraud. Pleaseeee save your money and go somewhere else!!!!! Save yourself and your child the...

I have been a certified youth sports coach for over 13 years and this has to one of the worst run organizations I have coached for! Management for NYS Tucson, does not care about your kid’s safety what so ever, she only cares about you paying the money. Once she takes your money, the parents are responsible for finding a coach, and paying for practice facility. If you don’t find a coach or a practice facility you do not get your money back. NYS Tucson does not supply anything but the uniform top and uncertified referees. The coaches and Refs are uncertified and do not receive any training or require back ground checks. This is my 3rd season coaching for NYS Tucson and I will never do it again. I am also telling everyone I have ever coached to take their children and their money to a different organization. Myself, my assist Coaches and the other coaches in the league have complained multiple time to the management of NYS, “Brandy Marshall”, and nothing gets done. Your child’s safety is my only concern!! The referees are the biggest concern because they are not even certified as Referees and have no official training. The players are being allowing to just run ramped throughout the game, fouling and hitting, elbowing and bullying the other players. Kids are also being allowed to use profanity at other players and the referees are hearing it and allow it to happen. These games are worse than watching kids playing jungle ball at the playground or street ball at the local park! Nothing may come from this message but at least consider the safety your young kids. There are better options in Tucson for sports that will keep...

Isn't for kids for learn to play soccer!

My son started this april and all was so-so to bad experience, he is been participating in the soccer but sadly I noticed the coach doesn't speak English and all the students that are in this group speak Spanish. ( i have not problem with that because I speak spanish but that doesn't mean my son does, wish the coach can speak to kids that doesn't speak spanish in English but that didn't happen, so my son was feeling exclude)

Coach has been rude with some comment to my son on a day of the game, my son was upset for another reason and the coach did a comment to his assistant that my son should not be playing because we was forcing him to play, also he keep instead of encourage them to play he was like..why you guys come if you dont want to play , or you should stay in home because this is for kids that want to win ...they are only 5 yrs old!

My son in many occasions has mentioned that his coach doesnt explain him in english, so he doesnt know what he was saying.

I know coach are volunteer, but comming from a family of professional referees in another country. I dont think this is the way a 5 yrs old kid should have the experience of playing soccer.

he doesn't know too much to play soccer, is the reason I register. I thought this soccer was for 5 years old kids to learn to play soccer.

Last Wednesday is the 3-day practice has been cancelled from this team, I wish the pick another park but isn't happening.

We haven't attended last game because the harsh we been feeling with the coach.

I dont recommend this team in all. I still waiting...
