This is my third year in a row coming to Colorado and my boyfriend and I always make it a habit to stop by in this amazing museum/shop. Ever since I was a kid, I had a HIGE fascination with Bigfoot but being from the Midwest, I hardly managed to get my fill of information. The first year we came I noticed this little spot and instantly fell in love. The people working there are always so friendly and it’s also pet friendly as well. They have a cute gift shop when you first walk in and I always grab something every year, this year was a snow globe. Imagine my surprise when I also noticed they had an information board up telling you about the newest sightings/sounds & it was a day before my birthday when one of these encounters were had.
The museum is jam packed with information and tons of great research. You can tell that the owners take pride and go through thorough research before featuring any information in the museum. Everything from the foot casts, the recordings of their sounds at night (they are played in the museum and my favorite), as well as a recent video showing the glowing eyes of one in a distance. At the end you get to meet a life size replica of what Bigfoot would look like and just a fair warning, it does move now. They had an old statue of him named Boomer the first year I came but have since upgraded and it’s amazing. My dog was a bit frightened and so was my mother at the end as they didn’t know it was a moving animatronic.
I’ve always believed in Bigfoot and this museum just fulfilled an inner child dream of mine to find others just like me with the same passion and curiosity for this being. I’m always going to stop here whenever I’m in town and definitely suggest others do too if you want something more...

Spent the 4th of July up in Bailey, CO, because sometimes you just need to ditch the chaos, breathe in that mountain air, and go look for mythical creatures. Naturally, we had to check out the Sasquatch Outpost, because if you’re going to decompress, why not do it with a side of cryptid curiosity?
This place is small but packed with charm—think: Bigfoot's personal gift shop meets cozy mountain town museum. Tons of souvenirs (yes, I bought stuff I didn’t know I needed), and the quality was actually great. Nothing cheap or tourist-trappy, which was a pleasant surprise.
We also checked out the little museum, and I gotta say—it was both fun and informative. Did I leave a believer? Maybe. Did I leave wanting a Bigfoot bumper sticker? Definitely. The staff was super friendly and helpful, too—clearly fans of both Sasquatch and customer service.
Bailey itself is a sweet little town with a whole lot of heart. If you’re ever in the Evergreen area and need a break from reality, this is a worthy stop. Great for families, Bigfoot fanatics, or just folks like me looking to walk off some stress in the mountains and maybe spot a...
Read moreJust want to add my little experience. Loved it. It’s in a little town nestled in the Rockies. Lots of pretty scenic views on your way there. Be an amazing ride on a motorcycle. The outpost itself is super clean and well decorated. A little cheeky with some serious mixed in. There is a small museum but we didn’t have much time, so we skipped it. It was only $5 for adults and maybe half that for kids. Veterans get in free.
The store had all kind of neat Bigfoot/Squatch stuff. Lots of t-shirts (and hoodies) of different designs and sizes (infant through 4x). Bumper stickers, magnets, plush toys, playing cards, hiking stuff etc etc. The shirts are good quality and very nicely priced. I paid $21 for a 2x with a cool Bigfoot design. Grabbed a sticker for the pickup and a magnet for the fridge.
Staff was super nice, too. Just a good experience all around. They are currently trying to raise money for a couple animatronic Bigfoot and little foot statues. Will be amazing to see them come to life once they get them. Hope to come back in a few years to...
