This place is more like trailer park than RV campground with many long term residents set up. We followed directions on the website for after hours to find an empty site and park there so we got all settled in. When making reservations no spots were assigned. We checked in once we could find someone in the office and we’re told we had to move. There weren’t any easy options for our large RV (we mentioned size during reservation phone call) but we made it work. Staff wasn’t to be found again so we went out exploring and came back and got chastised for not turning in our paperwork with the new site number. We turned it in then a few hours later someone comes knocking on the door to ask if we were there the night before and how long we were staying… seems like they could use some organization. The first site we had was covered in goat heads- terrible with a toddler and baby. The second was swarming with mosquitoes. Water connection at the first site needed an adapter because the threads were so short. Campground is bumpy and crowded. The Facebook link on their website links to the campground managers personal page full of extremist political postings which was also reflected on her campsite. Only reason for two stars is all the neighboring campers we spoke with were...
Read morehas all the amenities for any size rig but small enough so it dosent feel like you are still in the city. Close enough to a few eateries and stores one could walk to enjoy a different type of atmosphere when desired. This is my first time rv ing over a,week at a time. Started as a temperary option for a few months while i get a few personnel issues in order and work on building a house. But this place has made it a very enjoyable trwnsition. To a point where I don't feel like being in a hurry to move on in life. If nothing else it had made me realize there's allot to be said about full timers in general small house living life style. If one is active at all the square footage fear or any other uncertainties will go out the window once one realizes it not even close to being nessissary. But all said I do believe where ever you live the location and your neibors are what makes it fun, safe, peacful, the most important factors in life. If I where to pick one thing negative would be missing my garage. But this, place does have a storage facility located just across the street if that's a,deal breaker for longer...
Read moreI have spent my last two winters here at the Well. Wendy is by far my favorite. Last year I was on a 50 amp but never needed both AC units so I opted to spend this winter on a 30 amp. No issues. The revamped power is awesome. She just installed great new washers this year too. This park is a great community of people looking out for everyone in it. I've become great friends with the couple of full timers and of course all the lineman and their families. It's wonderful to visit our fellow snowbirds each winter and learn about all the wonderful places this area has to offer that I've yet to explore. Catalina state park basically next door offers amazing long and short loops for all of my pups and Oracle State park is just a bit further for more great hikes. There is an awesome laundry mat next door for big laundry days. As well as an ACE hardware that you can purchase almost anything an RVer needs. I love staying at the Well and highly...
