We love staying here. It's so beautiful here. We are staying here for 28 days. We are Owners here at Mystic Dunes Restores By Hilton. The correct address is 7600 Mystic Dunes Lane. Stayed here last year and bought a Gold package. You get 30,000 points on the Gold package. We were told last year that they were starting a Renovation starting with building 18. Only to make new Resveration this year for the same building 18 hoping to see new furniture because the ones we still need to be donated to the people that were hit by the Hurricane lost everything they owned. We have many things that we had to call to either receive or need to be better cleaned. Our Maid service is only done on your 8-day stay. She only spoke Spanish. She could not understand one word we spoke to her. They need to have everyone that works here be able to speak English also. After I think was on the 10th day here we told them from now on we will clean our unit. We ask for a vacuum to clean the carpet in our bed since on our first cleaning it was never touching. Also, all the tile floors were not touched. The dust in all end stands & TV Unit was so bad that Lucy we brought our cleaning supplies because it was very bad. We hate to be putting the Resort down like this but again someone needs to put it to their attention. We love the pool at the end of our building because it is Heated, and has the highest water level at 4 ft 8 inches. The very quiet pool where is good for Senior citizens. Not that we don't love children became we have 10 grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild only 7 weeks old. We just like it kind of quiet. Look out for the sharks there trying to get everyone to buy into this resort. Then make sure before you sign one thing you read it. Don't let them just run through some of it so fast telling you that you don't need to read everything. Because it mainly tells you the same thing over and over. We did that only to have lied over and over. Then you get home thinking to read over your contract only to see that you never received any of there free girls that the salesperson boss told you she would give you a free 5-night vacation to Maui with 2 free round-trip Frist Class Airline tickets. Never happen. We have a 1 on 1 meeting with 4 people we requested to be there to speak with. It is going to happen 1 day before we leave for home in Michigan. Good Luck to anyone that does decide to buy into this resort club used to be with Diamond Resorts but was bought out by Hilton Resorts at the time we bought into this resort. Please don't take this all bad because we can not deny that we love staying here. It is a very excellent...
Read moreI visited this course on March 30, 2023. It was by far the worst course conditions I have played in 10 years. I play about 120-170 rounds yearly, most of the courses are in Florida and range in cost in the high season about $100.00 -145.00 range. This courses conditions were worse than a low end municipal course. Mystic Dunes charged $400.00 plus tax for us to play. The greens are all dying and covered with Poana, or black disease. There were 3 greens that were acceptable, but also had different speeds on each green, slow and slower. The fairways if you could call them fairways were pathetic and burnt out. The waste bunkers appeared to have had tractors or heavy equipment that drove through them? The rough not only was bare but also the places that did have coverage was weeds at all various heights. We were visiting and staying at the hotel so we really were stuck for that day playing the course. We went into the pro shop to see if the GM or Head Pro were there, but apparently they were both off for the day. I did have an opportunity to speak with a gentleman working in the Pro Shop and he was extremely pleasant, however when I explained my displeasure with the course and how they could they charge the high fees he explained that the property was recently purchased by Hilton and they were putting all their money into the hotel property that also included houses, but there were plans to completely rebuild the fairways and greens. If that is the case and Hilton is aware of the poor conditions why are they charging $100 plus for a course that basically is so bad they are closing it down 4-7 months to rebuild it. To top everything off they said that a lot of people were complaining about the conditions, at that point I was thinking it was evident that the Pro Shop didn’t care about their customers, if they had they would of at least offered some kind of discount but that never happened. Perhaps in a few years the course will be nice however they will not get any of our money. The only thing our golf group will offer is tell everyone about our experience and to stay clear of Mystic Dunes In...
Read moreWhere do I start. Our last day in the Kissimmee area, and our last course to play. Started a little rough, Tee Time was at 3:30 and we were told on arrival that we would not be allowed to pay 18. That’s ok, we paid for 9.
At the start of the round the pair in front of us allowed us to play through since only my husband would be playing. That showed promise.
We noticed that the tee boxes were in pretty rough shape, but probably to be expected this time of the year. The course was nice enough, but really not worth the money. We have played at cheaper and more pristine places, for less.
We met up with Maria on the 10th hole. She was serving the drink cart. Her friendly and pleasant demeanor made our whole evening! She got us laughing and really took care of us. She has worked there a long time and you could tell she really enjoys doing what she does.
Trying to get in as many holes as we could before it got too dark we met up with Juan who actually works at the course but was playing a round himself. He let us play as much of the course as possible with him and we spent a good amount of time chuckling. We discussed the difference between Florida and Michigan and how much we appreciate what we have at home.
At the end of the night we met Josh and John. Who I would say are a couple of the hardest working guys at the course. They again made us feel welcomed, unbothered, and were willing to stay so we got in as much golf as we could.
At the end of it all, despite the very slow pace, these few people turned this round a golf around. Please remember to take care of the people who actually service the course, and not just the club house.
We will certainly look these folks up when we come back. Hopefully, they are...
