I can't believe the good reviews Big Bear gets. I can only rate the Moose cabin so maybe the others are wonderful. The cabin needs a thorough deep cleaning, the mattress is BR closer to kitchen is just horrible! I can't even describe the sound it makes getting on and off of it. The middle sinks in so you roll into the middle and it's way too hard. The dinning table is just too uncomfortable to play games longer than 30 minutes. There's 1 sofa and 1 hard wood chair in LR. Not cozy and comfortable at all. The light over the kitchen sink didn't work. No batteries in one of the tv remotes and exploded batteries in the other one. So luckily we had some, but it didn't matter cause the direct tv didn't work. Room for 4 adults, only 2 porch rockers, front porch and picnic table filthy with dust, dirt and cob webs. I realize it's outside and there is dirt but it should be swept and wiped down for every guest. A few positives were the bath towels were nice and thick, it had a washer and dryer, the other BR was ok according to our other family members. I don't think any of the revenues are put back into the cabins. Stay at your own risk. Wish I had better...

Fantastic experience at Big Bear Cabins. Went in July for a small family reunion. Each family had their own small and perfectly sized cabin. Loved the two separate bedrooms and the special little loft area that served as a third bedroom for our youngest. The unit was clean, cozy, super log cabin like, had great Wifi and TVs, a washer and dryer and little kitchen and bathroom with a tub. Great front porch and a pull out couch if needed. Plenty of seating. It was super private yet close to all things like grocery stores and restaurants. Close enough to the other cabins but still gave each family space. The biggest house worked great for everyone to get together and eat together. AC worked great. Great little grill and fire wood and a fire pit. So quiet.

Host was awesome and super at giving us ideas for where to go and what to do and eat. Highly recommend. Great little town and amazing cabins. Well done! Thanks for giving us a chance to reconnect and refresh in a perfect home away from home. ...

Great location...BUT, the Fox Den cabin had a broken drier, clogged drains, broken rocker on the front porch, out dated smoke detectors, inadequate number of towels, broken ice dispenser and significant dampness and moldy smell. When called the office I was told pleasantly, "There is nothing we can do about it". The value of the rental was not even close to the experience. Customer service was not, it was only, "There is nothing we can do about it". The next renter should first inquire about the state of the laundry room...
