My new favorite spot in the entire Triangle area and quickly becoming one of my favorite bars/breweries period. A former theatre in historic downtown Franklinton that has been masterfully transformed into what really equates to a work of art. Every little detail has been so tastefully chosen, often showcasing artful and creative touches that are unmatched. The staff are all incredible...friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, hard working, and fun. The pizza creations that are available are unmatched, perfectly prepared, and delicious. Great selection of beers on tap to choose from with Brewmaster Walt's incredible brews soon to come and brewed on site. Jim, Tracy and Walt are so friendly and welcoming as owners/partners and just enhance the overall experience with their presence. The resulting ambiance for friends, family, bar enthusiasts or anyone else is warm, comfortable, and cheerful. Franklinton's downtown has been blessed with the perfect business and group of employees/owners/and partners and is well on its way to becoming the next "hot spot" in the area. I highly recommend Owl's Roost for anyone looking for a new home away from home. Thank you to the entire crew at the Roost for creating such a wonderful place for us to...

Passenger railways and textile mills dissipated in Triangle North long ago, but the zest of Franklinton, though dormant beneath the surface, yearned to reemerge. An entrepreneurial mind with Key West sun kissed skin and an irresistible affability visited the remains of the former town theater, and seeing the ghosts villagers taking in some James Dean picture on a Saturday night eons ago, knew that life belonged to the present dwellers - those, not unlike James Dean: rebels, rebels against the notion that their town already reached its peak and progress had left behind. As you settle down on the inside bar with a comforting welcome, you will observe a Beer Here sign, and on a warm summer afternoon, as the sun permeates through the windows and reflects off of some young professional’s New England IPA at the end of the bar in an mystical moment, you will understand, without verbal communication, that you exist amongst the angels, and they proudly consider you as an equal,...
Read moreWent there tonight with my wife, daughter, and father in law. We got there and went to the back because there was nowhere up front to sit that wasn't a bar table. We needed a place to put a high chair. When we got back there, we noticed a band was setting up. They started their sound check. My wife went to the server and asked if there was someone who could ask the band about turning down their amps bc My daughter is 9 months old and her ears are sensitive. The waitress told my wife is a condescending tone that there was nothing that could be done and she couldn't control the band. My wife asked again if there was anything that could done and the waitress said no. I had to shout to speak with my father in law who drove into town to visit and doesn't very often. My suggestion is to put some of the regular tables up from the back for fa.ilies who have...
