Was there to purchase propane. Poor customer service...clerk inquired to front end Mgr whether they had propane. Mgr response was that they were out. Upon investigating further, realized that info wasn't correct. Went back inside the store and inquired again was told infactically they were out by Mgr. However, that was a lie because upon observation of the cage where the propane tanks were kept, I visually saw two tanks of propane waiting to be sold. The clerk nor the clerk's Mgr were willing to confirm what I observed so a nearby convenience store did have propane and took the initiative wherein the folks @ food lion didn't take care of business. Read moreI remember how happy everybody was to have a grocery store within 4 to 5 miles of their home! Over the years they've gotten a little bit slack on cleanliness and having the shelves stocked. My recent Monday visit had more empty shelves (I mean what grocery store has no lettuce or celery? Add Depleted stores of frozen vegetables and even pastas?) than even during covid restrictions. At least most people stay masked as well as the employees. I was told trucks come in 3 times a week but honestly I'm not so sure they aren't taking it back out or not...

Better prices than Harris Teeter, thought not as much variety. Ok by me. ABC store next door. Easy shopping center to get in and out of. It's an older store.
