Fetch Thrift Shop — Local services in Frederick

I can't speak highly enough about Charissa and her team at Fetch! I first heard about fetch through social media, and decided to take my daughter there one day for a little thrifting and to allow my daughter to spend some time in the kitten room. It is absolutely wonderful that a portion of their proceeds goes to help area rescues. As someone who also volunteers with cat rescue, I can't tell you how much that is needed in our area.

The thrift store itself is such a fun place, as thrift stores usually are. But with the added bonus of being able to donate an extra $5 to spend some time playing with kittens in the kitten room 🖤 And who doesn't love kittens, right?

I have more recently had personal experience with Charissa herself. I maintain a cat colony on our property. I had recently assessed a couple of the cats on The colony and found them to be friendly enough to be placed in homes. One of these cats actually had kittens. We fostered the kittens until 13 weeks of age, along with the mother and another cat. When we reached out to Charissa, she did not hesitate one bit to offer her assistance with vetting the cats and helping to find good adoptable homes. The two adult cats were adopted into amazing homes very quickly. And the kittens were just dropped off to be added to the kitten room today!

She does a fantastic job with screening adopters and making sure the cats get all of their vetting before going into homes. I have seen her interactions with other rescue volunteers in the area and every single time this woman does not hesitate to say " I will help." Whether it's with sick cats or cats that need adoption or whatever. She will literally give her last limb to help.

The best thrift shop we have EVER been to! Was in Frederick to actually pick up some medicine for our recovering kitty and we passed by this place. I absolutely love thrift stores and when I saw the sign that all profits go to animals in need and shelters, I HAD to go inside! They have everything from clothes, appliances, furniture, and even pet supplies! I got an AMAZING deal on some stuff for my pet rats and kitties! And the icing on the cake is they have a room full of kittens that you can pay $5 to interact with ❤️ My boyfriend and I happily paid and got to play and interact with the sweetest kittens imaginable ❤️ One even looked like my precious kitty in recovery named Bagel ❤️ If you're ever in Frederick I HIGHLY recommend. I love this store it's my favorite store everyone is so nice and friendly I'm always greeted with a smile The prices are the best My favorite thing about shopping in the store is that the money goes to help the cats.
