100% recommend Provident Electric. 100% will use again for future projects. I had 2 estimates before provident. One competitor didn't show up for the appointment and didn't return my calls, the other competitor came by and did an estimate but messaged me later saying he couldn't accomplish the job in a reasonable time. Next time I'll call Provident Electric first! Larry with Provident came and did the estimate. He was extremely knowledgeable and offered some suggestions and more options. The estimate came back within 48 hours. Then we were put on the schedule. I was notified by text every time the technicians were on their way. Jeremy with Provident came and led the project. I can't tell you how impressed I am of how quickly and well the the team moved. Jeremy and Jose had the rough in was done in just under 2 days. They scheduled the inspection and even had technicians come with the inspector to go around and make adjustments as soon as the inspector wanted a change. Final electrical was just as professional. Jeremy and Jose moved quickly and we're done in about 2 days. Our home remodel was a big project and consisted of: removing a wall between kitchen and dining rooms, new lighting and outlets for kitchen and island, 2nd floor conversion of bedroom to a master bathroom with walk in shower double vanity and jetted tub, washer and dryer on the second floor, wired smoke detectors in all bedrooms and on 3 floors, running wire for new HVAC system, and fixing some of my DIY work . Outstanding customer service! I experienced an electrical emergency and started reaching out to the electricians in my area(Boonsboro,MD). I called 7 different companies and Provident went way above the others, providing me with confidence to use their service. Patty and Sarah in the office handled my situation with a calm sense of urgency showing that it mattered to them. They sent a technician out within 30 minutes of my call to help me assess the services needed. Jeremy was absolutely great with his communication and the empathy shown to my situation. Together they partnered with me for a real time breakdown of next steps and did not show any frustrations from the excessive questions and confirmations I needed throughout this process. The actual service was provided by Matt and John. Both of whom, shared the same empathy and sense of urgency as the others to get my situation resolved in a timely manner. They did excellent work! The first I will say is that the technician(s) that worked on the installation of my generator were outstanding. Very professional and focused on doing and outstanding job. This is why I am giving 3 stars. Unfortunately the rest of the project was stressful. It took over two months to complete my install! I had a generator installed in my previous home which took days not weeks. I understand the added complexity because they had to work with BGE to install a new gas meter because in my brand new home the meters they install now can't support the generators. The communication at the start of my project was outstanding but once the project manager left the company and I didn't even know they were gone I just wasn't getting any response. I had to do all the out reach taking days to get a response to get updates and dates scheduled . At one point I was so frustrated that I called Generac to see if I could get their support and/or a new company to complete the project. At this point the communication got better but still took lots of follow up to get things done.
