Leela's Salon was an absolutely incredible experience! I have curly/wavy hair and I was going through a very difficult time finding a new hair stylist who could accommodate my unique hair needs. Additionally, I have rare health challenges that changed the texture of my hair and caused my face shape to become rounder than it had been previously. When I explained what was going on during my consultation and how it affected the way I might cut or style my hair, the stylist was extremely understanding. She really listened to my needs and gave me the best haircut I've been able to get since my previous stylist retired. Furthermore, when the staff at the salon heard about my unique health challenges that had affected my hair texture and face shape, they went above and beyond by stopping at a flower store, bringing me a gorgeous bouquet, and writing such a sweet card for me wishing me well on my health & healing journey. After having gone through tons of doctor's appointments, medical testing, difficult diagnoses, and physical therapy for months prior to this hair appointment, this was literally the most touching act of kindness anyone has shown me on this journey. This salon is extremely sensitive to both the hair and emotional needs of their clients. I feel so much better and more confident about posing for pictures at friend and family member's weddings coming up in the next few weeks and going back to work as a teacher after this appointment. I've really been trying to put off writing this review. I'm doing so anonymously because I don't want to make any enemies.

I came to this salon a while ago to do a routine root. They ended up doing a bleach bath on my hair, or something with heavy chemicals in it. It was not the normal process for a root touch up, and whatever was used was not toner, and was all of my hair.

I was skeptical while in the chair, but was told my hair would be "fragile" for awhile. I had spent a full year getting my hair back to being full and healthy. Within a week, all of my hair was breaking off into my lap. Literally handfuls over time. It's been over three months and if I don't deep condition every three days, it literally just falls off. My hair has now lost 3/4 of the volume, it has broken in chunks and I'll need to get extensions or chop it. My beautiful hair now has an awful, damaged texture. My natural hair is full and long, and now it is ruined. I am very, very sad. I used the olaplaex I was recommended and the extra protein made my extremely fragile hair worse. I’ve been to many salons before, but Leela’s takes the cake! From the lounge-like atmosphere, to the relaxing soundtrack, and the astounding staff, there is nothing to dislike about this place! Not to mention, the passion that Diane and Lisa have in keeping their salon and services to the highest quality and the customer care that they provide does not go unnoticed. They’re both always super bubbly, smiling and laughing- making the experience all the more joyful and relaxing! A salon is somewhere that we want to go to feel beautiful, get pampered, and forget about all other things for a bit..and Leela’s is totally the perfect place to do so! I have to say, so far I’ve seen Brittany, Christen and Julia and I have never left without thanking them numerous times for how happy I was with my final results! Everyone at this salon has talent!
