The restaurant is located in downtown Freehold with parking in a municipal lot behind the restaurant. The restaurant does not have a back entrance so you have to walk through an alley around to the front, a relatively long walk for an older person or one with a handicap. We drove back around front to drop my mother off. the staff was friendly and attentive, even as the restaurant filled with patrons. The place mats were the entire menu with separate specials and drinks menus. I don't know if this is normal or due to the times we are in currently. There is a nice selection of proteins with different international flavors and sauces. They also have a large selection of sushi dishes My wife and I ordered Blood Orange Margaritas. They were well made with more alcohol than most restaurants use in their drinks. The food was well-prepared, tasty, complimentary sides and a good value for the price, My mother's skirt steak was a little tough which is not abnormal for skirt steak. We took portions of my wife's and mother's dinners home. I recommend trying this restaurant. They lost a star for not having a rear entrance and making us walk around to the front in the rain. Also, while the food value was great, the drinks prices were...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I have been here a few times now and while the food and drinks have always been very good, right now we want to highlight the service. Tonight we went in looking for nothing more than a good happy hour vibe; some cheap drinks and apps at a bar. We had apparently been looking at an outdated happy hour menu online, which our lovely bartender Marie helped us realize, so unfortunately the happy hour, while still good, was not exactly what we were expecting. We ordered some drinks, and while reviewing the updated happy hour options, we realized we were not quite in the mood for anything on the menu. We received our drinks, which were delicious, however my boyfriend noticed a small chip in the lip of his glass. I encouraged him to just drink around it as it’s not uncommon for bars to have small chips in the glasses (at least in my experience), however that solidified our decision to finish out our happy hour somewhere else. Marie was very understanding and even comped our drinks for us which, while unnecessary, was greatly appreciated and really showed us the level of service this establishment maintains. Marie is a fantastic bartender, who makes a mean martini, and has great bar-side manner. We will...
Read moreI have been coming here for over a decade now. I love the atmosphere. Very hip and trendy. Has an urban vibe to it. The service is top notch! Great staff always make for a great time. I have hosted big gatherings with my clients or staff here (parties of 12+) or had 1 on 1 meals with my wife for an anniversary, meeting a business contact, or taking my Aunt out for her birthday (pictured from last night)
The menu is very diverse. Lots of options, but not too many where you cant decide. I really like their Filet Spring Rolls and Lettuce wraps appetizers. For pasta/rice, I always love their risotto as it has bold flavors and pair well with shrimp or scallops. And main course my go to is Asian Skirt Steak. (The double cooked cuban steak is amazing too). Oh and their sushi is really good.
I hope they bring back the candied bacon because that was a special treat.
Last comment is the drink selection! I LOVE their espresso martini and my wife loves their pear and lemon drop martinis. This is a great place to celebrate something and while priced on the higher end, its worth...
