Stivers Lagoon Nature Area — Local services in Fremont

A rare corner of nature that's been devastated by recent (Spring 2019) work. I used to see a fair bit of wildlife here, including deer. Recently the city cleared away a lot of undergrowth and cut down a number of trees and it looks terrible. Not sure what plans the city has for this patch, but hopefully it is not going to be another manicured park. I'll update this review when it changes. Just a couple of months earlier, I'd rate this 4 stars.

This trail is beautiful! There is plenty of parking near by. Be sure to bring water with you. There are quite a few homeless camps along this trail. This trail shouldn't be utilized at night. There are all kinds of animals here. Be sure to actually enjoy your walk! It easy to get distracted these days, be present! There are geocaches all...

Very quiet stroll along a wide path. The creek to the side seems to keep most of the area green - at least until fall.
