Fabdrape Indian Clothing Store — Local services in Fremont

I came here with a day's notice that I'd be attending a Sikh wedding in a Gurdwara. Having absolutely nothing to wear, I stop by here in desperation looking for some accessories to go with my lehenga choli (that I just picked up from another local shop).

No thanks to my glitching iPhone, the gps was not working appropriately and added 15 minutes to my trip to the shop that was closing soon. I had called Anshu letting her know I was on my way and she was so kind to wait.

The shop was a bit tucked away and not easy to find. Anshu texted me some images of the area so I could easily find her shop once I arrived. That was super helpful since my map routed to the wrong place and I wouldn't have known that if it weren't for her pictures. Good thinking!

I arrived after the shop was closed so I tried to be quick. I brought my dress in for Anshu to match. She make some really wonderful suggestions and gave me cultural tips on what to expect. She was extremely helpful and not pushy. As the day's purchases were all sort of done in haste, I didn't have time to shop around to see all my options and compare prices. Thankfully Anshu's jewelry was priced reasonably and I left feeling totally excited about my purchase. She even sent me off with my tikka and earrings in an adorable little storage pouch that matched my stuff! I'll definitely be back for a closer look at the rest of her shop. Anshu is a gem in the Bay Area! So glad to have found her when I was looking for an urgent outfit. She has an incredible selection of mix and match embroidered blouses, lehenga skirts, and dupattas at a reasonable price. She also has a beautiful selection of lehengas and suits, as well as jewelry and other accessories to choose from.

She was so helpful and used her ready made mix and match pieces to come up with a gorgeous lehenga outfit that seemed like it was sold together! She also took so much time and effort to match my existing blouses with her pieces to give me ideas of other potential outfits. Anshu has a background in fashion design and it clearly shows with her eye to design lovely outfits and she only brings in the very best to her store!

Her assistant was also very helpful when Anshu wasn’t there and Anushu still wanted to help me through video call and ended up coming in earlier to match my availability. I came in multiple times and she was always patient and attentive but never pushy, which is extremely rare to find. You can tell she really loves what she does! Amazing experience...

Everything about my experience here was exceptional. I was looking for dresses for a friend’s wedding and as I typically do, I hit the internet to do research. I came upon Fabdrape amongst other stores, but noted that the reviews were stellar. That in mind, I drove to the store and I’m glad I did. I originally only went here looking for ideas on what I wanted (since my plan was to shop online). Needless to say, I left with a load of information on colors and traditional wear for different days AND a dress. I wasn’t planning or expecting to buy when I went, but my experience was so good that I was compelled to do so. Her patience was amazing AND to add, she even tailored the top for me (because I would have been lost looking to get this done).
