This review is strictly for weekend buffet. The irony is the restaurant named after a city in Andhra that is known for the variety lacks that variety in its buffet. There were only a handful. The buffet goers basically want a wide spread so they can try a bit of this and that. Having said that, the price is 16$ - cheaper compared to 20$ buffets. Again, would have preferred to have 20$ and have bigger variety than compromising. I see many folks just exited after checking. Bheemavaram is known for its snacks. The snacks on saturday were corn chat, mix veg bajji and baby corn pakoda. The baby corn pakoda was good. The mix veg bajji was blasphemy to the name of Bheemavaram. There was an inch of batter on the veg and it is as if I was eating the batter. I dont want to talk about corn chat. No flavor. Just spice. There were some chicken and fish starters. They were passable. The fish has too much of food coloring. The omlet curry was so so. The paneer was hard. The cashew curry again was tomatowey. The good stuff: That jackfruit biryani was a star. It saved the day for us. Full of flavors. It however had its own negatives - there were hardly any jackfruit pieces. Didnt try chicken biryani. The butter chicken was good. The karela fry and sambar were right on. The naans were hard as they were just bringing them from next door out in the open and leaving them. It pretty much summarized the restaurant attitude: they pretty much dont care about quality or quantity. We have these and its upto you to take it or not. Will not try buffet again but will come back for the jackfruit...
Read moreBhimavaram Ruchulu, a place known for its delicious food, has won my heart despite a few shortcomings. While the ambience could use some improvement, the taste and quality of their food have consistently impressed me during my multiple visits.
One standout aspect of this restaurant is the exceptional hospitality displayed by the lady at the counter. Her warmth and willingness to assist make her deserving of the title of the best staff member. She went above and beyond to help me make the right choices, offering valuable suggestions and even steering me away from my initial selection to recommend a different combination. This level of personalized service is truly commendable and adds to the overall dining experience.
The food at Bhimavaram Ruchulu never fails to disappoint. With each visit, I have been treated to flavorsome dishes that leave me thoroughly satisfied. The chefs excel in creating mouthwatering dishes that showcase the authentic taste and essence of their cuisine.
While the place tends to be more focused on takeaways rather than dine-in, I haven't experienced significant waiting times. However, I do hope that they pay more attention to improving the overall ambience to create a more inviting and comfortable space for diners.
Despite the minor shortcomings, Bhimavaram Ruchulu remains a worthy destination for those seeking delectable food. Their culinary delights and the exceptional service provided by the friendly staff make it a place that I can...
Read moreI visited this place yesterday for dinner with my family. The atmosphere was ok. We ordered mushroom pepper dry, chitti chicken, chapati, chicken fry piece biryani and drinks. The mushroom pepper dry was good and I recommend it.Chapati had too much oil. Biryani rice had some flavor but it was too dry and the chiken in biryani felt old and reheated multiple times. Chitti chicken was awful it was too limey and we all could taste the stale fragrance. So we requested the waitress to take it back and change it if possible. She recommended karvepaku chicken so we said ok for the change. After waiting for some time the server came back with chitti chicken asking us to try again and told us that chitti chicken is usually too limey and it was how they prepare it. I felt bad hearing that and We were also not informed that they did not change the dish as suggested by the waitress was offered the same chitti chicken again. When I tried it again it was not limey this time but I felt chicken was recooked multiple times and instead of white-pinkish color, the chicken was white-grayish. I did not bother this time and packed the food and left in the assumption it might...
