If i could give this place 0 stars i would! Unprofessional to say the least. We ordered a bedroom suite Aug 1 2020. We were told they had to order a king size so it could possibly take until the third week of August and at worse case the first week of September. Told them it was longer than i wanted but with things being behind because of Covid i could understand the delay of 4-5 weeks (remember that was the worst case scenario) we worked with Steve. We gave him a cash deposit until furniture came in. We called in the end of August and was told our bed would be here by the second week of September now, so after selling our old bedroom furniture, to make room for new set, we were sleeping on a mattress on the floor. I have severe back problems so this was not idea. The whole reason for a new bed set right?! Let’s fast forward 3 more weeks and 50! Phone calls later and at least 4 stops at the store itself, wondering what’s going on, i still have no bedroom set. After all the calls and going in there inquiring about our purchase and being told next week, next week, next week, (and at the time it was the beginning of October) we asked for our deposit back, and was told by our salesman Steve, who took our cash deposit at the beginning of August, that we had to talk to the owner to get our money back. This was on a Friday, apparently the owner wouldn’t be there until Monday. So again for the 100th time my husband drove out there to find it there was no refund left. Here it is the second week of October and now we still have no bedroom furniture and was told if we wanted out deposit back they would take $120 for a restocking fee!!!! What?! For what?! My husband and i were not happy at all. This company took our $600 deposit in the beginning of August, and after all the lies and empty promises you’re going to take $120 for what? You don’t even have what we purchased on site and apparently not in stock. My husband was told yesterday (October 12) that he will only be refunded $480 of the $600 even though they didn’t have the bed for us, or they got the bed in finally, not a clue about the night stand, mirrors or dressers we ordered, and the bed frame would be delivered between 3-5 yesterday. Well guess what??!!! We get a call at 4:45 saying the bed can’t be delivered because they had another customer that was taken longer than expected. When told we would wait because we came home early from work to be home for delivery that even if it was 7 before they were done we just needed a bed they said sorry we will try and fit you in tomorrow!!!! PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. EVEN WITH PAPERWORK WE STILL HAVE NO FURNITURE AND OUT $600 as of now. I will be looking into an attorney to get my full deposit back. I only went here to support our county’s small businesses. Definitely learned our lesson and will not do business with this scam of a company again. Update!!!! The bed did get delivered today, (OCTOBER 13)and they were here at 1pm sharp. They seemed very experienced and did a great job with set up. The bed is beautiful, and though I’ve cancelled rest of the order that didn’t arrive I’m happy with the bed and look forward to getting a good...

I am proud to say that I grew up in Monroe County. I always urge people to work with small businesses especially when they are local. I have contemplated posting this for a long time, but if sharing helps prevent even 1 person from going through what I did then this post is worth it. It was a truly traumatizing and emotionally draining experience that we went through with Runyon’s. This is what you should keep in mind if you choose to do business with them.
They were not approved vendors/installers of the product that they had on display. (Runyon’s purchased it from another store when we specifically asked if they were approved).
They did not follow the manufacture’s specifications or complete proper job site preparation. (Resulting in damaged flooring.)
They ignored our calls to them for help. (We had an inspection done to figure out the cause of damage).
They refused to honor their warranty. (Even after an NWFA inspection indicated they were at fault).
We tried to file an insurance claim on their business insurance. They did not carry the correct coverage for “their work.” (I hope they corrected this).
The engineer report from the insurance company also indicated they were at fault. The claim was denied for lack of coverage.
Estimates to tear it out and fix the damage was twice as much as we initially paid.
They ignored us again, so we filed a credit card dispute to get our money back.
They called us names, screamed at us, told us to “shut up.”
They called our work and personal phones numerous times. (Once the credit card took the money back from them for failure to resolve the damages).
Their threat/solution for us was to “come to rip the floor out and put it into their rental homes” but not to repair it or replace it. (Expecting to still be paid for this work).
You may have to take them to court. (Runyon’s may threaten that this is your only option).
They will leave you with floors that look like the photos attached….
This is what we went through with them, in our new home, when I was pregnant. They didn’t care about us until the money was taken back from them for failure to correct the issue. Once they did not have the money for their work, they took a very aggressive approach. I have photos, reports, and recordings to prove all the above statements, but I do not feel it is necessary to post currently. Some people may have had a good experience with them. Certain members of their staff are helpful/nice. The OWNERS were the people taking this approach. Overall, thinking about how they treated us and potentially other people in the future makes me sick.
*Owner never paid the money owed from small claims court. (The response below indicates that they have... but this has not been done and it has...
Read moreWe purchased a vinyl plank floor. It was to be installed over a vinyl floor in the kitchen, remove existing carpet and put the plank floor in the living room, and then in the foyer over the existing vinyl floor. When the salesman came out to measure, my husband told him MULTIPLE times we do not want any raised areas at all. He said they would mud the area from the kitchen to the living room and it would be fine. We bought the same floor just a different way of laying it in the foyer and we would need a transition molding (which we didn’t understand how it would work) and he said no problem, no raised area. It was very important that there were no raised areas because we have a special-needs adult daughter who cannot have change and we did not have any bumps in our existing floor going from the carpet to the vinyl flooring. The salesman saw her so he should have understood. Also, the sample floor board had a white with colors combined plank that we do not have. The salesman also stated it would take two full days. It took five days to install. The transition molding is raised, a bump!!! If the salesman would have told us to continue the same way of installing the floor in the foyer and maybe ripping out the existing vinyl floor, there would not have been any raised bump in the floor at the transition molding l. After calling him and sending pictures of the color issue, he said he was filing a complaint with the manufacturer and he has not called to let us know anything about the color not being in our floor So, not hearing anything about that and the raised transition molding, we went to the store and brought pictures. We talked to another man and explained and he asked what we wanted. We really wanted something done for the safety for our daughter, but he said they would take out the floor, but we would have to pay for everything. We do not understand!!! If we were told the correct information when we purchased it, everything would’ve been done correctly and we would not have any bumps or raised area, and it would not be a problem for my daughter. It would’ve been more money for us to pay at the beginning but it would have been done correctly with no raised area. This is definitely a tripping hazard for my special-needs daughter and they don’t care!! The salesman did not give us the correct information and that’s all a customer asks for. As far as the coloring in the vinyl plank sample versus what we received, it has been done since September 20, 2024 and we have still not heard back from you, Runyons to let us know what the manufacturer said about the complaint that your salesman filed if they even filed it!! I will NEVER recommend you to anyone although the floor is very nice and the installer was wonderful and very professional. Larry &...
