Two paths diverged in the wood, and we took the one the toddler selected. Don't pick the RIGHT path! Oh we read the reviews. Park at Dollar General. Yes! We read the variety of experiences-- easygoing path good for kids and grandma's, and the path that climbs directly up the beanpole. Yes. The right hand path behind Dollar General is a difficult ascent for sure. Also, if you bring a toddler, plan on that extra 30+ carry-all as you surmount stumps, rocks, low branches, and rock faces along the way up. It's BEAUTIFUL. There are some incredible formations. It's fast. It's definitely steep. The entire way steep. And then we decended on what would have been the LEFT hand path. Even the toddler. It was what you might expect from a wooded trail. Well traveled, simpler steps by far, and definitely less scenic. It was so welcomed after that uphill hike!!
