What was on the menu for tonight at Fryeburg Kitchen and Marketplace and the weekly date night with the wife.

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)

Prepare to embark on a culinary journey like no other! My recent dining experience at this establishment left me in awe, thanks to the exceptional dishes that were presented before me. Let me take you through this delightful adventure, starting with the fried green tomatoes.

The fried green tomatoes were a revelation. The golden coating was perfectly crisp, revealing the tender yet tangy flesh within. Each bite transported me to southern charm, as the tomatoes burst with a delightful combination of tartness and subtle sweetness. Paired with burrata cheese this appetizer was a flawless start to an extraordinary meal.

Next up with the appetizers, the steamed clams. Freshness was the name of the game here. The clams were plump, juicy, and cooked to perfection. The delicate flavors of the sea danced on my palate with every bite. The butter sauce elevated the already exquisite taste of the clams to new heights. It was a seafood lover's dream come true.

The steak beef tips over pappardelle were nothing short of a masterpiece. The succulent beef, seared to perfection, melted in my mouth. The richness of the meat was beautifully balanced by the al dente pappardelle pasta, which absorbed the flavors of the savory sauce. The combination of tender beef, hearty pasta, and a luscious sauce was a symphony of taste and texture that left me yearning for more.

Mushroom lovers, rejoice! The mushroom with truffle cream was an absolute revelation. The earthy and robust flavors of the mushrooms were elevated to celestial heights with the addition of the truffle cream. The velvety sauce coated each morsel of mushroom, creating a harmonious balance of flavors that made my taste buds sing with joy.

Now, let's talk about the pan-seared Duck breast with Chantrelle, black trumpet, and portobello mushrooms. This dish was a true work of art. The duck breast, perfectly cooked to a succulent medium-rare, boasted a crispy skin that added a delightful textural contrast. The medley of mushrooms, sautéed to perfection, provided a delightful earthiness that complemented the rich flavors of the duck. Each bite was a revelation, a testament to the chef's impeccable skills.

And finally, the onion rings. Crispy, golden, and addictive, these onion rings were the perfect side dish. The batter was light and crispy, encasing tender and sweet onions. They were perfectly seasoned, leaving me wanting to savor each bite slowly, yet unable to resist devouring them all.

Overall, my dining experience was nothing short of extraordinary. Each dish showcased the culinary expertise of the chef, and the flavors were beyond compare. The attention to detail, the perfect execution, and the harmonious combinations of ingredients made this meal an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend indulging in the fried green tomatoes, steamed clams, steak beef tips over pappardelle, mushroom with truffle cream, pan-seared Duck breast, and onion rings. Prepare to be transported to a world of...

I have driven by a zillion times after many years of going to Fryeburg and stopped in for the first time. I will say , first time of many more!!!! From Now on I will make sure to dine here every time I visit. I had a baked haddock, amazing! My daughter’s Ceasar Salad was great, she loved it. My other daughter ordered a chicken sandwich. She loved it too. The fish and chips: delicious! My niece ordered it. The portions were big, so my husband was able to eat from everyone’s selection. My daughter’s boyfriend had two amazing fish tacos. We did not have time for dessert so next time around I will make sure and order one. Service was very friendly. Again, the fist visit of...

We've eaten here 6 or 7 times - NEVER disappointed. Easily the best food we've had in the whole Lake Region. Example: 2 days before Christmas we both had the Dungeness Crab - the freshest and most succulent we've ever had. Tom (the owner) even helped me navigate the cracking! (Side note: at first I had to "get over" the super casual hunting-inspired environment, but now I embrace it !!)

The young lady was hustling tonight. They had a great crowd. Carlos was playing and singing up a storm. The old bay shrimp were tasty. I had haddock francaise, with asparagus, and croquettes. My wife had the Cesar salad. Beers were ice cold. I almost turn my clock back 45 years and was going to bus a few tables. It was very good time.
