Will I shop at Samanthaâs Jewelry Design & Repair again - thatâs a STRONG NO from me.
We have done business with them for several years now and purchasing something that they already have in stock like a necklace would be about the only thing I recommend from this place.
First - they canât handle a simple ring cleaning. Whatever it is they used to clean my wedding ring left a huge red mark and dried out my finger. I havenât been able to wear my ring in an over a month, as Iâm waiting for my finger to finish healing. Iâve been married for 6 years and never had an issue until it was cleaned by them.
Second - we had them take the crown off an older ring that was almost 100 years old and put it on a new band. It took over 2 months when they said it would take a couple weeks and when I would go in to check on it they never could remember who I was or what ring I was talking about. An extremely unwelcoming feeling. Itâs okay to know your customers and the business youâre doing with them, itâs actually very good for business when you have people skills. At first they just took the crown off the older ring and soldered it to the top of a really wide band. It looked very careless and the disappointment was real. Thankfully she agreed to contour it to the crown which made the ring actually look like how we asked for it to be done in the first place. That took several weeks when we were told she would have it done by the end of the day. I never got a call that it was ready I had to show up, which was extremely frustrating.
Third - we bought earrings for my 5 month old daughter near the end of May. We received the earrings a month later because they needed to be ordered. They were push on screw off backs for the earrings. The back came off not even a month into owning the earrings. I brought ONE earring and told them the issue that we had and we couldnât find the back. They accepted the ONE earring and told me they would order a new back and check the prong of the earring. Several weeks pass by I got a phone call saying the earring was ready. Fast forward to today, 08/19/2023⌠the back of the SAME EARRING SAME EAR has fallen off again. Keep in mind my daughter is still an infant and does not have control of her hands. To me this isnât an âusâ problem, this is a âSamanthaâs Jewelryâ problem that we need resolved. They LIED to my face, told me that I left both earrings with them DESPITE me telling them my daughter wore TWO DIFFERENT earrings for a month. Why would I take off an earring and leave it with them that had no issues? I sure didnât. They told me that they ordered a new set of earrings and thatâs what she had and basically told me it was my problem and they canât help me that the back keeps falling off. Itâs been almost 3 months and to have this many issues with one earring that they refuse to make right with as much money as weâve spent in the last few months is absolutely ridiculous to me. Couldnât remember me or my ring they were doing a bigger job on, that was there for over 2 months but you can remember an earring that was there for less? Not even a little bit, because I never left both earrings and I just wanted to resolve the problem. Maybe if they actually ordered a new pair like they are claiming I wouldnât be here writing this bad review.

I dropped some rings off to be repaired on May 5th and was told they would be ready to pick up in 3 weeks or less. 1 month later on June 6th my husband called and left a message and on June 7th he called again left a message again no return call. I called yesterday June 8th pressed a different number instead of leaving message someone answered actually. I asked about my rings gave them my ticket number and for about 10 mins you could hear rustling noises. She put phone down and I after a few minutes I was like hello, hello finally she said yes and I said are my rings done I brought them in over a month ago and also my husband called twice left messages and no one called him back she said I don't know I just answer the phone. Finally she said no not done yet! A man got on phone asked what was wrong and I said I brought my rings in over a month ago and haven't heard anything about them. He said we got busy and some things came up but he would fix them today. Bad business when you tell someone their jewelry would be ready in 3 weeks or less an extra week goes by and jewelry not repaired. I understand things happen but how about a PHONE call to let me know. I believe I wouldn't have my rings today if I hadn't called yesterday. The decent thing to do was give me a discount didn't even get an apology for forgetting my jewelry and me. Craftsmanship was good customer service...
   Read moreHorrible, Horrible, Horrible customer service. Dropped off a bracelet for repair and was told it would be ready in a week. OK, no problem. I called a week later and was told they were actually two weeks behind and it would be another week. OK, stuff happens, I get it and so far not that big a deal but then I called after the second week and got a woman on the phone that was annoyed I called twice inquiring about my repair and got extremely argumentative with me. She lied and told me I dropped off the bracket on the 25th (my receipt clearly stated the 24th) and that it was technically 13 days past and not 14. Again, my receipt shows different but that is not the point. I can't believe this company would be so nit-picky as to argue an irrelevant point and lie just to prove it. I can't believe she was annoyed I had called twice, once on each day THEY told me it would be ready. She kept talking over me and would not let me respond or get a word in at all after she realized she was wrong about the date. She finally told me I was more than welcome to pick it back up and so I did. In the end, this company lost my business and just wasted my time for the last two weeks. Maybe if it wasn't a small job they would care a little more but the combative way the representative reacted to me just proves they clearly do not respect...
