Harrell Appliance Repair — Local services in Gadsden

I'm giving one star on this review because Harrell Appliance did fix one issue with my washing machine. I first contacted them on March 15 to fix the gasket seal on my front loading GE Washer. The repair man did show up the next evening to fix the gasket seal, but also noticed there was a part missing. He said he would order the part and let me know when it came in so he could finish repairing the washing machine. I heard nothing from Harrell from March 16 until March 23. Never once was I contacted about the part coming in, or when he would finish fixing my washer. I would check back in with Harrell every couple of weeks with phone calls and texts. Finally on May 8, he told me my part was in, and that it had been on back order (for over a month) and he would try to get to my place to finish the washer. Two weeks later I called him from my phone to see when he was coming and he did not answer. I then called him from my work phone, and he answered. He said for the second time he was on his way to pick up my part and he would try to make it to my house the next day. That was sometime in June. It is now August 4. I've received no further phone calls or texts from Harrell. I texted twice with no reply. I tried to call - no answer. This is terrible service. I absolutely would not recommend Harrell Appliance to anyone! I pointedly asked several times if I should go somewhere else, and he assured me he would finish the work. I'm pretty confident I was lied to the entire time, and am doubtful that a part was...

0/10 Terrbible business! Came to our new home in Decemner to fix our dishwasher and said he was ordering a part we needed. Had to reach out to him months later after no word and he said the part was in, then lied SRVERAL times about coming over to finish the job. Said he would come at a specific time. Then just wouldnt show up and continued this for days. Then, all of a sudden said the part was broken and had to be re-ordered. Months went by again with no word. Finally he told us it was in, then lied SEVERAL more times about when he was coming, over messages and in person phone calls. The last time I spoke to him on the phone, after he had told me two previous times that day that he was coming straight to my house, he told me to my face that he was on his way over and never showed up and never messaged me after I had waited at home from work ALL DAY! Do not support this man or his business, he did not care about us as customers and has no professional ethic or integrity. He does not deserve anyone's trust...

Listennnn!!! (His info at the bottom) If anyone needs their washer/ dryer fixed or even a newer used one on a budget, he will come to you!!! He is super kind and friendly. He could have ripped me off bad but he’s super honest!! He tried to fix my washer with a part he had. He didn’t ask for any gas. He came back the next morning with a part that wouldn’t fit. So I asked if he sales them. I already called 4 stores in Gadsden who was extremely expensive for a used washer. He charged me $200 and again never asked for gas. I didn’t have it or I would have offered. Everyone else was so much more expensive AND THE BEST PART, HE DELIVERED AND HOOKED IT UP FOR FREEEEE!! He even called me this morning to check on it to make sure it was properly working. He didn’t just dump it on the porch. When he arrived with it, I was about 20 minutes away and instead of just leaving it, he waited on me!!! Such a good kind man!!!! I will be sending him extra when I can!
