El Patron 2 — Restaurant in Gadsden

My wife stopped by El Patron 2 tonight and ordered us a late dinner. We got 3 meals and when the to go order was ready. My wife ask if she could get more chips and salsa. Due to there only being one small bag of chips and one small salsa for 3 adults. The person told my wife "well that's 3 bags put in one so if you want to buy more you can. Which she declined to do. We eat at El Patron multiple times each week. If that was the only issue I would continue with this establishment but it's not the only issue. Once the food got home I decided to call. Because the chip thing bothered me and I wanted to know the policy on a complimentary item such as the salsa and chips. Well before I was able to ask my question I was told sorry and hung up on. I have to say that I am so extremely happy and impressed with not only the food, but also with the service, price and atmosphere. If I could talk my husband into it, I would eat there every single meal! I wish I could give 100 stars !!! Update: 8/16/25 I've changed my mind I would never give them a 100 stars! I would 100% give them 1,000 stars! A few weeks ago I started getting their menudo on the weekends, and I must tell you it is the best menudo I've ever had! after a long drive from birmingham we were hungry and decided to stop to grab food. the waiter we got was a male he had such a ugly attitude and his face in general shows he didn’t wanna be at work. my girlfriend asked for 2 plastic forks and he only brought back one so she asked if i can have one tell me why this man rolled his eyes at us!? Like WHAT!? when he took our order he had a attitude and when we finally got our food he didn’t come back to check on us or gave us refills we had to get up and ask at the counter. on top of that it was sooo freaking hot in there i couldn’t finish my food. the food was great but the service was trash.....
