Zero. Stars.
I rented there for 4 years-mostly because I have kids and the cost to move was too high. The rent went up $100 every lease renewal. Micromanagement-lots of mass emails and texts and notices on doors tsk-tsking tenants for rule breaking and reminding them that lease violating will result in eviction. And not for major crimes, but For things like people (not us) draping pool towels over the balcony railing to dry after the pool. It gets annoying, like you live in a police state or something. They encourage residents to spy on and report each other. Literally, had signs out offering money if you caught someone not picking up after a dog and turned them in. And they come in your home twice a year to inspect it. “To replace HVAC filters,” but if you aren’t home and walk in on them you’ll find them looking through every room in your house like I did-and the time they came after I had said I wasn’t renewing my lease the building manager came with the maintenance person, and I walked in to find her coming out of one of my kids bedrooms. Anyways Basically this is a paradise for Karens, so if that’s your thing then you’ve found where you belong.
And lord help you when you move out. The longer you live there the more it will cost you. I had the place professionally cleaned and I touched up the paint once a year in high traffic areas and upon move out. We’re good people, conscientious people, I like a showroom clean home and I hate when things are broken or dirty. Still I expected some charges, I figured it was just part of renting. But I got smacked with a ridiculous bill-thousands of dollars worth of the most frivolous and ridiculous charges. Replacing doorknobs in almost every room, parts of an oven that I feel like they invented because I don’t cook and rarely ever used the oven and definitely would have noticed if something broke or fell off of it. After fighting with them they reduced the charges to like $2600 that I still can’t afford and think is just Chandler Park ripping people off. To replace carpet they were already going to replace (because the padding ?? Because you’d leave the crappy crumbly cheap nonexistent padding that was under the crappy cheap carpet in place when you install NEW carpet? Makes sense…that really seems like a way to make your investment last.) $500 repainting fee (“we can’t charge for paint because that’s considered a redecorating fee but PRIMER on the other hand…”)
Please, heed my warning: Don’t rent here. If you’re already renting and about to renew: Don’t. They were so nice to me, and I really wasn’t a problem tenant. I never saw a bill like that coming. There must be something in it for the people doing the move-out inspections-a bonus for every $ they charge tenants on move-out. So unless you make Can Get an Attorney money, get away from those crooks.
Oh one more thing: They rent out units to groups of workers from some construction or labor company. Thats what some of the good reviews on here are. Trust me the people writing them don’t even live here because the workers who do don’t even speak English let alone write flowery reviews in it. Mostly they’re friendly and keep to themselves. But a few times a new group of them would move in and there’d be one that made me nervous walking by, kind of leery. And the way they change out so frequently, just gave future Dateline...
Read moreInitially I was thrilled to be here. I had a pool view, great area — but once the community filled up, that was the end of the good times. The staff was okay. I only communicated with Rachel, who was great and responsive (the reason for 1 star). They did do what they could on holding social distancing events, considering the times. I moved out 9 months into a 15 month lease because I could not take the noise anymore. Dogs below me barking at all times of the morning and night. That was one thing, but before that it was the thin walls. I could hear my neighbors (and their kid) while I was in my bedroom— children yelling early every Saturday morning as I tried to stay in bed a few extra minutes than I would during the week. Knocks on the wall and voices early in the morning or late at night was a constant thing. More noise? You bet. A few times I’ve heard my downstairs neighbor playing music in the bathroom (as we all do) clear as day. I sent recordings of each of these encounters to the staff. I mentioned a transfer a few times, and it was only when I decided I was leaving that one was suggested. I enjoy working from home, but not in these apartments— no peace at all. I have lived in apartments all over the Nashville area and this one was the noisiest by far— and the only one I have had to break a lease to. I was willing to pay extra money to leave. I understand that they cannot control the sound of neighbors but they have no insulation to decrease noise. I have lived in Midtown Nashville and that property was way more quiet that what I experienced here. The apartments themselves are nice (especially the bathroom vanity), but I just wish the walls were as equally as nice. This was the best floor plan I have ever had (reason for the second star) and hated to leave it— I hope the quality of apartments that they are building across the street are better. Moved out and relocated to another state.. I moved myself and a chair would not fit in my truck. I asked the maintenance staff if they could help discard during my move out and was denied. They ended up charging me $150 for removal of ONE chair. After all of the complaints and issues I had, they were not compassionate at all. I am a few weeks into my new apartment and love it. Best decision to leave TN and even better,...
Read morePay close attention! Notice the angle of sunlight, ditches and standing water. The sprinklers shoot right into your windows. They do not provide screens for your windows making it nearly impossible to get proper ventilation or ever open them. We had a severe mold issue with 4 positive mold tests completed at the same time the incompetent manager tried saying it wasn't mold- not that she was any sort of professional to make that decision. Several contractors came in and cut out parts of our drywall, trim, doors, windows and walls, AND agreed it was mold. Their contractor is on video saying it was a defect in the apartment with the positioning near sprinkles as well as poor circulation and duct work that has caused thousands of dollars in my property damages and medical bills. THEIR mold test inspector called them out on the positive mold test as well as other apartments experiencing similar issues. It was an absolute mess and the Borax chemicals they sprayed made my children break out in a terrible rash confirmed by the hospital. Their only solution was to " allow" us to move out and offer us hush money by waiving a 6 day pro rated rent. Their attorney sent us some paperwork telling us not to have big furniture, house plants, keep the A/C on in the winter and not to heat water on the stove for cooking, (basically DONT LIVE HERE). It was an absolute nightmare from the start with issues in billing, paperwork, leasing information, receiving the wrong person's social security number and banking info, the list goes on and on. They have all the time in the world to harrass you over petty girl drama but can't fix the simple things. Maintenance is rude and never says Hi or thank you for anything. I highly advise you pay attention before you lease here. Don't forget to listen to the train and check for moisture in your windows, closets, and door frames. We never had this issue before coming here and don't have it now . The community rules change all the time with no consistency and you will be relentlessly harrassed for every single move you make. . This was the worst 6 months of my life and I'm so thankful we left when we did. Management here is absolutely Ruthless. Please, for the safety of your families do...
