I am hosting a staff party and we all have the same sense of humor. So I found this site and it was a gold mine of funny little knick knacks for a game we are playing. I was so excited. Then I got a call from them saying my order was flagged for fraud and they didn't want to go ahead with the order if someone stole my card. Apparently my IP address was really far from my shipping address (not sure why, I was at the shipping address when I made the order) but I thought it was hella cool they made sure it was me before going forward. Normally, my bank catches that but they did first. Wow, that was super cool of them. Then I didn't get a confirmation or tracking email because.... I'm dumb and didn't enter my email, lol. I'm not having the best week, lol. I messaged them this morning, almost immediately I got a response and info was sent. They have gone above and beyond with their customer service. While this store isn't everyone's cup of tea, they are absolutely filling a niche for those who know. Situated in a cute little shopping village in Southern NJ near Atlantic City, it has everything the punk rocker in you needs. T-Shirts with Contemporary Messages, other cool clothing and accessories, posters, stickers, and just about everything the fringe of society needs. The Owner-Operator Mike , contributes by organizing Artwalk Shows twice a year, giving artists a place to vend their wares, sponsors pictures with Santa and the Easter Bunny and donates some of the proceeds to the local Animal Shelter/Rescue, and brings the crowds into Historic Smithville for other events, who then shop at all the other stores too ! I’ve been going to The Underground since they opened, when I was still in high school. During my emo teen years it was the only store that made Smithville palatable (ok maybe the candy store too). During those years I’ve met and seen the own numerous times — he’s always been kind and professional and overall just a good dude. I’ve only seen one employee there in the years I’ve been going and still they were just as kind and courteous. I’ve literally been going to this store every year multiple times a year since they opened and purchased tons of cool stuff like labyrinth jewelry, records, NJ tee shirt and bumper stickers, candles mugs and lighters. But my overall favorite item is the amazing sunglasses offered! Cool colorful and vintage cateye glasses, just fun stuff you will NOT find elsewhere.
