I have been dealing with First American Trading Post for about 50 years, since about 1974 or 1975. I have dealt with Dominic and also more recently with his son, D J. I also dealt with one of their managers, Tony Estrada (now retired). They have the finest American Indian Jewelry, Carvings, Art and Pottery. All authentic items of the highest quality. Their customer service is wonderful. They have even made a special Silver Turquoise Chalice for the POPE!! There are a lot of American Indian dealers in Gallup. Some of them sell fake items. My mother sold this establishment 20 lbs of pinon nuts when they were in season, only to be given a counterfeit $100 bill. When my mother went to purchase gas at the gas station, the clerk called the police and questioned my mother. She then stated her business and the $100 was retrieved. The people at First American Traders told my mom and the police that the man/buyer was not affiliated with F A Traders and no legal form of payment was given.
