We were treated with nice thick 1 1/2” hand cut and trimmed ribeye steaks by our friends Candy and Cowboy Keith Downer. They brought for our 30th anniversary celebration in Emporia, Ks. This meat was properly seasoned and cooked perfectly on the grill. The steaks were simply amazing in flavor and texture. Beautiful char with a tender delicious rare red interior finish. You could cut this meat with a knife and separate it to bite size by your fork only. A special thank you to Mike & Velda Plankenhorn. The meat WAS all amazing! The owners and staff are always so knowledgeable, kind and professional. Well, I am disappointed in the last few meats purchased. We purchased two steaks for about $28 and several packages of butterfly pork chops, and several ground beef. The steaks had so much grissle we ended up giving them to our dog (steaks previously purchased have been awesome), the chops were so fat that I trimmed it after cooking and it lowered the weight by at least 30% and the ground beef shrank terribly. We have purchased half hogs, large prime ribs, extra steaks, stew meat, ground beef, during the 23 years we've lived here and have NEVER been...

Love getting hamburger here not always the cheapest but quality is excellent. I have personally went to 3 packing houses to butcher hogs. 2 were closer and cheaper so less stressful on animal & wallet but quality of product lacked. No doubts that if/when I talk husband into getting a hog we will absolutly...
