Pho Hoa One Restaurant — Restaurant in Garden City

I grew up in garden city, and haven’t been back in years. This used to be the greatest place. Walked in to the counter and basically got yelled at and had crazy hand gestures for us to wait at the door when there were multiple tables where we could obviously sit that were clean. I have a bad knee and my grandmother as well has trouble standing. There is no sitting waiting area. Seen on the bulletin board they are removing many dishes for faster service. Its sad people always have to ruin a good thing. Many people were sitting waiting for food and others for drinks. They are only open for. Few hours on a Sunday you would expect them to be a bit more prepared. Not to mention the fish tank looked so gross like blowout diarrhea on an entire half not what you wanna look at when you are eating lol What happen to this place?!😭🥺 After waiting for a bit standing and observing I decided it was probably best to spend our money elsewhere....

My wife and I ordered two meals and one soup. We got all our food at the same time. My wife ate about half the soup and then I started eating it. I ate about 4 spoons when I noticed a hair floating. I was done eating. The service was horrible. We weren't checked on after we got our food, even after I dropped my fork on the floor. The waiter saw I had dropped it and turned around and walked into the kitchen. I couldn't get a refill, I had to ask for sweeteners and the waiter was rude when we paid our bill. One of our crew gives it 5 stars, two give it 4 star and one gives it a 3 so we're settling on a solid 4. The egg rolls are DELISH. Definitely the highlight of our meal, imo. I got the steak pho and it was good but not great, not a ton of flavor. The beef and broccoli stir fry was good, the #37 was well liked by my kids. I just feel like the portions are very small for the high price tag. Overall, we liked it but didn't love it. It was nice to try something other than Mexican while visiting...
