Ya know what, I like it here. Plain and simple. Reminds me of the Bodegas in NYC... And I dig it that the same man is always behind the counter, maybe the owner, but he is super kind and looks at me like I only have two heads instead of 4 when I tote my list in with questions about this or that. I humbly admit I am new to preparing this cuisine so some things I make note of are totally lost on me but even so, I find what I set out for. I am slightly bummed that I keep missing the ice cream flavor I wanna mack down on, and I'm not gonna say what it is lest it continue to disappear, but the mango is pretty dang good...so is the pistachio.
If you buy a lot of spices, this is the place to go for S. Asian and Indian staples, it's super reasonable. I couldn't find pidgeon peas anywhere but here for the Dal Fry i like to make. There are some vegetables that I am unfamiliar with but I plan to figure them out one by one.
I recommend going even if you just pick up some Naan, so you can feel what it is like when you get the heck out of Burger Queen and get real and actually prepare some delicious, healthy food. It's not very big but I bet it has everything a body would need to put some Bollywood in your movie night. Great place...
Read moreTo start with it’s my fault that I randomly checked few products that was purchased by my husband and hence threw the bill. However, this has been a concern every time I visit the store. The purchase was made in the 1st week of January 2023 however, all the products have expired in 2022 itself. Another thing I have experienced with the store is that if you return any product, they will return the price of the time but not the taxes. If you question them they are like this is how the system works we cannot do anything. After questioning further they make you feel guilty for your money and call it out loud as if for few dollars or cents we are questioning them. This has happened 4-5 times now.
All 3 items (images)purchased 1st week of Jan. The MTR mix I realized was expired when I cut the packet. Again, my fault for not checking but I have over $20 of products to...
Read moreSuch a pathetic shop. I really don't know how anyone can buy stuff from here and more than that how they are legally allowed to sell food items. Points to note:-
Almost every item have expired packages. Veggies are left open all the time If you see closely you will find fungus in the storage rack and boxes They do not cover veggie after closing hours so whatever item is in the shop is all time open for cockroaches and lizards and flies. If you get food poisoning after use of their product don't wonder.
Pooja items are very old like year and so.
Prices are high for utensils.
Overall if you care for your family Do not...
