Same Day Electric — Local services in Garden City

Our103 year old house needed it's whole main electrical panel updated and we also needed 240v electric ran to our new hot tub. I called Same Day Electric to get a estimate. Although, the appointment was not same day but the estimate was given on the spot the day of the appointment. I was very impressed with how they send you a text message with the technicians picture, small bio on the tech and that there on the way. Even though they were a bit more pricey I decided to go with them because I saw professionalism, friendly attitude, genuine care for the customer and customers safety. On the day of installation they arranged for everything, from calling Idaho power to cut our power so they could do their work, setting up the electrical inspection by the city of Nampa (so we would be in compliance with City). They showed up on time started work and did what they were paid to do and they did it above and beyond my expectations. All the work they did looked so clean and by the electrical code book. The master electrician they sent out to do the work was outstanding; as well as his helper. When the city inspector showed up to inspect he looked at everything and we had no corrections/violation at all. They had the power back on from start to finish in about 8hrs and tested all our outlets, lights, switches and everything before they left. I was even surprised they also labeled all our new breakers and what circuits in the house they service. I feel our 103 year old house is much safer now. I decided "Same Day Electric" was just the company I needed, eager to finish a project that day. I called, and a while later Chris Gregory, "Electrician Extraordinaire" was at my door. Originally, the bid, presented in writing, was higher than I expected. I lowered the scope of the job, knowing I could do some of it myself, and Chris was helpful in helping me decide how to best work with their pricing. Job sold.

He got right to work, and was friendly, professional, and was a pleasure to work with. He didn't have an apprentice helper to do some of the "grunt work" (multiple trips up to crawl through a very tight attic space), but he did the work cheerfully, and without complaining. After seeing how much work the job entailed, the bid price's value was apparent. Clearly, the work I had requested was substantial, and somewhat difficult to do. Chris did it all as quick as possible, while not cutting any corners.

I highly recommend Same Day Electric, and if you call them, be sure to request that you have Chris Gregory do the work, even if you have to wait a day or two for him to be available. Great guy, and I can't say enough good about him and the quality...

I’m selling my house and needed a few items taken care of before I can complete the sale. I had used Same Day Electric a few times in the past so I called and let them know I had some things that needed addressed and was in a bit of a time crunch. I was given their earliest appointment which was early next week. Later that day I got a call saying there had been a cancellation the next morning and they could move me up since I needed the work done in a short amount of time. The technician Aric showed up promptly at 8 am and we went over the list. He let me know that it was all pretty basic stuff and that he would have it done pretty quickly. When he finished he called to let me know everything he had done and he even sent photos of each thing he had completed. He was a nice guy and very professional. He did excellent work. Same Day Electric has always done excellent work for a very fair price. They also send you the name and the picture of the technician who will be coming to your house. Little things like that really make a difference to me. I highly recommend them for any electrical issues you may need...
