Moxie Java is a local roaster so I really want to support their work. This large building on Chinden is right by the roasting plant, so they get the freshest coffee, and I hoped it would mean for a great brew. I came in and got just a drip coffee and it was, unfortunately, just as bad as Moxie's coffee always is. It was weak and thin and just lacked in flavor and body. I feel like they must use low-quality beans or just not roast properly because the coffee usually tastes about like Folgers rather than actual craft coffee. This space is big so there's lots of room to hang out and have a meeting or do work if you'd like. There's a big patio outside but it's right on Chinden so sitting out there isn't super appealing. They have different breakfast burritos and some scones. The burrito I got with bacon seemed like it was premade a day or two before. The tortilla was soggy and fell apart and the eggs were spongey. I can say the prices aren't too bad and the servers weren't unpleasant. That along with it being a nice seating area means it's not the worst place to get a cup of coffee if you're in...

I'm updating my review due to changes in policy due to a new manager. Always a 5 star until today March 30th 2018.
I've been a customer since their humble beginnings. Today was the first day I didn't purchase anything and was told because someone has previously down loaded inappropriate movies, their internet was for paying customers only. I needed to purchase a drink or couldn't used the internet. No more courtesy water, it's now 25 cents but would've counted towards being a paid customer. They appologized for the inconvenience. And I totally understand where they're coming from but paying customer or not, internet can be abused. So no more going in and hanging out unless you purchase something or are with someone who does so you can use the internet. Very disappointed in Moxie's new policy and I will be spending my time and...

I’ve gotta say, the folks at this Moxie Java location have hit it outta the ballpark.
My Mexican Mocha was almost perfect, but it was my fault for not asking the barista to up the spice level. It was obviously good enough the way it was made for me to return on three consecutive mornings and order the same drink.
I also really loved the “Hipsterberry Donut,” and was happy to purchase the last one in the case on a dreary Sunday morning.
I’m looking forward to many return visits in the future!
Edit: After a final two months in the Midwest, we can finally call Boise home! Two more visits to Moxie in the three days since I’ve returned… even the Good Boi Maximus loves your shop!!! Thank you to all of your fantastic...
