Gym itself is great but the management kinda makes me want to switch gyms. I PAY for the FC Plus membership to be able to enjoy all the extra amenities and benefits, especially the guest passes. However, each time I bring in a guest, I feel like I’m just free advertising for the gym. The first time I brought someone in, an employee named David sat us down and made me write down 5 names and numbers along with my name, email, and phone number, and meanwhile he was damn near interrogating my guest. Furthermore, he made both of us write a review online for the gym (keep in mind this is before my guest has even experienced the gym so I’m not sure what exactly he was expecting them to review). I brought them in so we could workout together but instead David just put us in a bad mood. The second time I brought a guest, David made them answer nearly 10 minutes of questions that aren’t even relevant such as “what’s your relationship status.” Furthermore, he would repeat the same questions in different ways, and once my guest tried to say we were trying to save time and get to the workout, David condescendingly said how we could simply pay the $27 for a day pass (which is absurd as my membership is basically that monthly) and how he is giving us a “courtesy day pass” which is irritating because I am PAYING to have these guest passes, not being given them as a “courtesy.” I really do enjoy the gym, but if bringing in guests (which is something I pay extra to be able to do) is just a way for them to get new members and the process is this irritating each time, I’ll probably just...
Read moreI have been going to this gym since 2016 and I am very disappointed in the way this gym is becoming. The staff now starts announcing at 8:30 PM every 10 minutes that they close at 10:00 PM which is very irritating and disrupting to my workout. I was startled while using a machine when a staff member told me I had to leave 15 minutes before closing time. This is not only disruptive, but also a safety issue when you’re in the middle of your workout. As we were leaving, the staff was yelling at everyone, almost like we were children, saying, “Everyone get out or I’ll get fired.” I’m not sure if this is coming from higher management, but it severely impacts the customer experience. On top of that, my membership price has gone up, and the gym used to be open 24 hours, but now it closes early and is asking us to leave before the actual closing time. All the other gyms in the area stay open later. If we are going to be charged more on membership and maintenance fees, then machines should be fixed and we shouldn’t have to leave before closing time. Read moreI’m extremely disappointed with my experience at Fitness Connection. I canceled my membership on December 1, 2024 in person at this location , yet the cancellation was not processed properly, and I continue to be charged. Despite me following the proper procedures, I’ve received no confirmation, and my attempts to resolve this with customer service have been frustrating and unhelpful. The employee who “helped” me process the cancellation, Lorely, assured me that everything was taken care of, yet here I am, still being billed months later because she couldn’t do her job properly. After realizing I was still being charged, I contacted customer service, and they finally admitted that my cancellation was never properly processed. They told me they would now process it correctly but I will still have to pay for the month of march, I haven’t stepped foot at a FC location since the day i “cancelled” my membership. It’s completely unfair that, because an employee couldn’t do their job properly, I’m quite literally paying for their mess-up.
