Juicy Fruteria — Restaurant in Garland

Update 2: I've since ordered a few times from Juicy and also noticed they did change the picture of their Manzanas Locas to their own picture, which I really appreciate. An accurate picture of something a business sells is really important, so I commend them on fixing this. A1 ice cream, their elote taste freshly steamed which I love! I'm really pleased with everything I've had so far, and I definitely plan to continue ordering from Juicy.

Update 1: I ordered again and did receive the Manzanas Lokas, the owner mentioned below, and they were, in fact, prepared the way they're meant to be. Not the picture they have on Uber, but at least weren't plain apple slices like my first order.

If you google Manzanas Lokas, the picture Juicy is using shows up for a business called "Oh So Dulce." Take that as you will, I would prefer Juicy use accurate pictures of their products.

I will say Juicy has the best ice cream hands down!! Their gansito ice cream will be the reason I keep coming back! (Changed to 4 stars).

(Previous review) I just ordered ubereats from this restaurant, and without a doubt, the gansito ice cream was the best part of my order! I just came mostly to say that I wish the picture for the Manzana Loka was actually accurate. It's kinda misleading...

I've been to several fruterias, and with that, I've had a few manzanas lokas, and the one they sell is like a simple version. Nothing like the picture on Uber OR in these pictures on Google.

Other than that, I'll give them another go. Now that I know they don't make the manzanas like the picture, I'll just skip ordering...

I wanted to try this place with my partner. And so one day we came, and at first it was good, but as soon as I started ordering, there was a young lady that had a left nose piercing and was talking to me like with an unwelcome tone and she was asking me what I wanted. I asked for 2 banana splits, and she literally stared at me for about a whole minute, just mean mugging me in a way.And I thought she was going to ask me or tell me something, but she was just staring at me, rolled her eyes, looked at my partner and then told the price. My partner was also telling me that she was giving him looks, and as soon as we sat down, we started eating, and I personally think it was overly prize because it was around twenty something dollars for 2 banana splits without whipped cream or any types of drizzles or nuts on them. We were eating and my partner had stopped me from eating because he was feeling uncomfortable that that same lady was staring at him for a long time while she was "cleaning" and scooping more ice cream which was literally next to where we were sitting at. Basically like showing that she was interested in him or something. the ice cream was good, but I personally think it's expensive And I did not like the way that woman with the left nose piercing was treating us and how she was staring at me and my partner from top to bottom. Will never come again.

Visited and the folks helping were super friendly and patient while I browsed their menu. The mangonada I had was probably one of the better ones I had so far, the flavor was different. He even said he could experiment with a watermelon flavor the next time I visited (instead of mango)! My dad got their elote and could tell the corn was fresh and not out of a can. Can’t...
