By far the worst customer service I've ever experienced at the store. I been coming to this store for 11 years never once had a problem. Ever since they hired a new manager name Zell I've had nothing but problems. Every time I go into shop I'm being followed by him. I'm going to go ahead and state that I am a coupon Shopper I love to use my coupons and I use them CORRECTLY! The Store itself has a limit of five of the same coupons in a transaction. Most of the coupons have it stated on them limit two or limit four per transaction which is what I abide by. Some of the self-checkout attendance don't use their coupon policy properly most of the PG coupons come with their own limit of two I've seen them multiple times use four in one transaction. They act as if I'm going to steal the product versus paying for it. I go in there about 10 times a month if not more to coupon CORRECTLY and I do spend my money and they do get reimbursed by the manufacturer for the coupon that was used. I'm not seeing the problem other than the fact that he doesn't like couponers or he has a problem with me specifically and I really don't appreciate being made out to look like a thief. I'm not! I pay for my stuff everytime with my money that I work for! I spend about 50 to $60 (which is my limit when I'm using coupons) every time I coupon and I do it once per day as stated on all coupons and most store policies! So I'm not seeing the problem but I definitely will be contacting corporate and their head regional manager Stern. If you are a coupon or I would definitely avoid the store it used to be one of the best stores to coupon at. I live right next to a Kroger and I will drive 10 minutes to get to this one just because they are really understanding and they never ever have treated me like this until now and it's only this one manager every other manager I come across I have no problem with so I'm not sure like I said what his deal is but it needs to be fixed. Really upsetting. Terrible customer service. I was in retail and i understand couponers get upset but never once have i not been understanding about if the coupon doesnt work. I would have never treated any of my customers like this even those that choose not to purchase anything. Which ive only had a coupon problem twice but that was my fault for not grabbing the right product. Extremely...
Read moreThis is one of the WORST Kroger stores in the area. The selection pales in comparison to even Aldi. No matter how large or small your list, it is guaranteed they will not have something you need in stock. No matter what time you go, there is always a small group hanging around the front begging for spare change, cigarettes, etc. They are ALWAYS out of stock of lots of items. Too many times I've used the curbside pick up and was told several items were out of stock, so I would go in and find several of the supposedly out of stock items. Produce leaves a LOT to be desired. There's only ever 2 cashiers open- even when the lines go all the way back to through the freezer section for self checkout and both open cashiers, and still no calls to open extra registers. I've never seen a manager at this store. In every other grocery store I've been to or worked in, it is normal for the department managers as well as the store manager to walk through the store- NEVER seen that happen here. Parking lot is usually full of trash, carts everywhere, all around just a very poorly managed store that is always dirty. Many items stocked incorrectly, have found stock has not been rotated, have witnessed "Best By" dates being changed on meat products. Also, I just cannot understand why they continuously have problems keeping items in stock- I'm not talking about a popular sale item- I'm talking about items being out of stock for WEEKS. Absolutely ridiculously poorly run. Save yourself the headache and go to Tom Thumb or Kroger on Shiloh. This is one you can definitely miss and be all the better for it. Even if you think, "oh I just need one or two things, I'll run in here real quick." The most likely scenario is you'll not find the item(s) you went in for and if you happen to find something, you will wait in line for so long you would have actually SAVED time by driving a half mile to a...
Read moreI just visited this Kroger this afternoon around 230 pm. I purchased some chicken breasts for $9.16. I arrived home to begin cooking for my family of five, which I do often. The meat I purchased from this Kroger location was spoiled. So spoiled in fact that it smelled up my entire kitchen the moment it was opened. The expiration date was 5 days out so it should have been more than fine to prepare for my family. I of course began looking for my receipt so I could take it back and immediately come home so I could continue cooking dinner for my family...however I was welcomed at this Kroger with absolute malice and disgust upon arriving without my receipt. I informed the manager that I had spoken to someone on the phone prior to driving up there but he was very over the top, and acted like I was lying. It was very embarrassing to the point that I, a 34 yr old woman with 3 children; began crying. I have no idea why I was treated so badly. I never raised my voice I was just wanting to exchange the spoiled chicken I had purchased just 2 hours earlier. I was able to get in contact with the Kroger corporate office and they did give me a sort of refund in the amount of 10$ toward my future Kroger purchases on my Kroger plus card. However, the treatment I received from the manager this afternoon was so horrendously outrageous I will never go to this Kroger store again and I urge anyone else who frequents this location to be aware of the afternoon manager". He was the most unprofessional person I have ever had to have an interaction with. I hope his actions are dealt with by the corporate office. I am still shaken from this experience hours later. If anyone is ever in a situation like mine the Kroger policy is to refund without a receipt, so long as you have the...
