Nothing worked as it should have. Upon completing the agreement over the phone with an agent I was told that I could purchase a lock at the facility. When I arrived at the facility, the machine dispensing locks was sold out. I had to leave and go purchase a lock elsewhere and return. I was not told by the agent the gate code I was provided would take 24 hours to be activated. I went to the facility and was unable to get in. This occurred after customer service hours so I could not get in contact with anyone. The next day I called customer service. They informed me of the 24 hour activation time. They offered to provide a temporary code but said I needed to be at the facility, (which I would find out later was not true.) I was delayed another day with two cars full of stuff to store. I went back after 24 hours and my gate key was denied again. I waited for the third time on customer service hold for at least 20 minutes. I was able to get a temporary code after waiting at the facility. I brought the second vehicle to the facility the next day and was again denied with my assigned gate code. I waited again on hold for a temporary code. I requested to speak with a supervisor requesting compensation for my wasted time and energy. After clearly stating my case, requesting a reasonable return of compensation for the poor experience, the supervisor simply denied my request. He explicitly said that he could award compensations but was choosing not to in this case because ultimately I was able to use my rented storage space. Even after informing him that I would not continue renting from Red Dot, which I had planned to do long term, a financial benefit far beyond the compensation I was requesting (the remained of my first month renting compensated), he decided that he did not want to award any compensation. No answer has been provided as to why my assigned gate code has not been activated. I have spent more than 2 hours on hold waiting for customer service and daily priorities (although minor) have been interrupted. Read more"Easy enough" -old review New review - new owners took over, not only did they implement stupid rules like i cant access my unit after 10pm but they also started increasing rent regularly Which is essentially a closet or empty garage... No other services provided, they did finally put a dumpster out there but its always over flowing Theres garbage all over the place inside n out of the fenced in area, Which was never like that before. And im not talking candy rappers or cig butts, im talking piles of junk, furniture and all sorts of crap. If you are gunna charge us Hundreds of dollars for barely nothing at least clean the place up.
