After this beautiful comment I made about this restaurant 17 weeks ago I'd like to share a heartbreaking experience I just had. And the only reason I'm doing this is because Brian will tell you that he appreciates his customers, but his fruits show that they don't I am very appalled after three years of continuous loyal business of eating there at least three times per week. They made a mistake on my chicken burrito and added lettuce and tomatoes which I absolutely hate and when I called back to complain, Brian admitted his mistake and told me he would replace it next time I came in. Then he called me back 5 minutes later and decided he was only going to give me half the credit. I told him I was just getting ready to come back up there because I'm starving, (he's very aware that this is my breakfast lunch and dinner, because he knows I'm disabled it's hard to cook, and I'm on a budget, and I usually eat one meal a day from there cuz it's good food and it holds me over.) So I'm getting ready to bring my burrito back up there and exchange for my free one, when he called back and told me I could only have half the credit. Now I had a choice get a fork and try to eat the chicken that's in this burrito and pick around all the yucky stuff, or get half my money back and have no food. All I can say is I really thought Brian and his family were godly people and cared more about their customers more than this, especially regulars, this business is a disgrace to me! Everyone beware they do not appreciate their customers, and they're extremely extremely cheap. Do you want good Mexican food El Niagara in Woodstock is the best, and they truly care about their customers also. Another play the values the customers is Maria's Mexican in Spring Grove and they have the best sour cream sauce in the world, mouth-watering enchiladas in my opinion. Brian go ahead and keep that $4 credit that you offered me, I know how much money...
Read moreHi La Cocina Owner! You spoke to my elderly mother on the phone, and to clarify, she meant everything was good with the order in reference to the itemized contents of the order (except for the missing tortillas, which if it is a known issue that they get lost, I would suggest utilizing a different process for packaging your orders - just common business sense). And to clarify regarding the quality of the food, it was not good. I ate about half before my elderly mother and father could tell how displeased I was with the food. I would send you a picture of the half eaten rubber chicken, but it was thrown in the trash immediately where I felt it belonged. And trust me, I was not most upset at not receiving a complimentary fajita dinner as I will never eat your food again. Just because it is one of your best selling dishes, does not mean it is quality food. But thank you for showing your restaurant’s inability to make a tasteful chicken fajita dinner with the correct food items needed for a chicken fajita dinner, as well as showing your restaurant’s massive lack of professionalism and twisting the words of an elderly...
Read moreThis place is back on my “no list”. First off, they got my wife’s meal 100% correct. She was pleased and enjoyed her meal. This is very hard to do as her luck at establishments hasn’t had the best record. And now, the rest of the story…
Chips and salsa are table stakes at any Mexican restaurant. If you have to charge for them, it should be bottomless. La Cocina charges you for each order, sometimes. Last time we were here, we asked for a refill and we’re not charged. This time on our visit we were charged. Get it straight. Train your staff.
I am always good for at least three beers when I’m out for dinner. I finished my first one, and was never asked if I wanted another. In fact, our table was never visited after our meal was delivered. The restaurant was not busy. There were two servers and three tables of customers. Our server had only one table but ignored us.
On my last visit, my burrito was overflowing with meat. This visit I could hardly tell if there was any in it. (Good) Consistency brings customers back.
It will be a good minute...
