this review is in NO way, shape or form about the store itself. This is our first stop before goi g to lowes or homedepot to purchase construction item. If we don't find what we need we still end up buying stuff we didn't know we needed until we saw it here! We have been coming to this specific store from Bastrop because we like it so much. Never have had an issue and people working there have always answered our questions and the young lady that we have seen for the past several times is so sweet and helpful. But today....there were several new faces. Some very friendly and helpful. One lady in particular stood out to us, I believe her name is Vickie or thats what it says on our receipt. Upon entering, with our masks on and getting antibacterial from their front table, we were rather rudely told by Vickie that we had to wait until someone else left. With all thats been going on we understood and proceeded outside to wait our turn. After about 10 minutes she informed us we could come in. We went in and started quickly looking for our listed items just in case someone else was waiting on us. As far as we noticed, no one else was told to wait and other people kept coming in. We were being followed all through the store and openly stared at by Vickie. There were times she actually stood with her hands on her hips staring at us as we inspected items. My husband and I are Hispanic. I feel that I have to explain this because as far as we could tell we felt we were being openly racially profiled. Maybe I am wrong but never had I experienced something so openly like this. We had a list of items to look for but we were so uncomfortable by this lady that we did not throughly look for what we needed. At one point I even asked her if we were in her way because she had her hands on her hips looking at us. Her response was "oh no I just zoned out" So in conclusion to this essay, the store is wonderful both this one and the one on Ben White but had to review this one particular employee/volunteer not sure what her role or title is for the blatant rudeness and how uncomfortable she made us feel.
Thank you and God bless all who work and volunteer at Habitat for Humanity for all you do for...

They will quite often offer a price that is way lower than what is marked/not marked. To make your trip more enjoyable- go when you have plenty of time and be patient when they're busy and you may be rewarded with some affordable treasures!
1/2024 Thought we could get a replacement toilet seat from Habitat ReStore for cheaper than the big box stores- not true. The one we chose was “new” for $21 and you can get the same one at Home Depot for $3-5 cheaper. AND it wasn’t new- definitely had wear (different brand as well that someone shoved in a new looking box) and the screws were stripped.
Check inside boxes before you get what it says/you...
