We are SO happy we found this place. Fortunately, we had stopped in at the Columbia County visitor center for information on the surrounding area, and a gem of an employee told us about this nature center. Easy access hikes on flat and easy to walk on trails that meander through the marsh down to a calm and serene little creek. Great for families, solo peeps, and dogs on leashes too. Wheelchair/stroller friendly as well. The nature center is one of the coolest we’ve ever been too. We’ve been to 6 different states in the last 6 months and this is by far our favorite. So many educational things and fun toys/books for kids to play and learn with. Loads of reptiles and snakes in aquariums that were so neat to see. I think any one of any age would definitely enjoy going here. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful too.

A solid spot to take a quick walk. The wooden walkways are narrow for strollers but well constructed. Not the best spot for a picnic but there are some benches provided if you want to bring your own lunch. There are Water Moccasins and other hazardous stuff here so don't let your kids run around too much without keeping an eye on them.

We have enjoyed the serenity of Reed Creek Park since the boardwalk opened in 2004. Then Hurricane Helene hit in 2024, and it was devastated. The beautiful scenery and captivating creatures are still there; it just isn't accessible anymore. Looking forward to the day this park is up and running again!

This was an unexpected small wetlands habitat hidden in the suburbs. Took my son to a free educational event here and explored the grounds while I waited for him.

The building was well kept and was great for the educational program we were there for. The staff was friendly and attentive.

The parking was perfect for the size of the place and the event we were there for.

The property was what you would expect for being wetlands. There is a wooden boardwalk/trail that circles through the wetlands. It is truly wetlands, so you can expect bugs, insects, and wildlife of various degrees. Including possibly encountering a poisonous or venomous creature. While I didn't encounter anything that dangerous on my first visit, I did see some spiders that could be unsettling for some. Keep an eye out for all kinds of life, even on the boardwalk.

That being said, this is a great little place for adults and kids to learn a little about this type of habitat. I would easily recommend to others and will be returning again for classes and simply to see the habitat at different times of the year and during different...

Wonderful little facility tucked away here in Evans and an excellent place to consider having your child's birthday party if they like animals. We had a party here recently for our child and Mindy, the park's Environmental Educator, did a great job with the presentation. The kids got to pet and see a variety of neat animals they care for on site. Great place just to visit and appreciate as well with their boardwalk through the swamp and animal specimens inside...
