It's a bit pricey for some basic food and drinks but the atmosphere is very nice and bright and the staff is friendly and didn't keep us waiting long. It's a comfortable environment for brunch with friends or family (no kids menu), or just having a solo meal with you and your gadgets. The interior is clean, spacious, and inviting with both indoor and outdoor seating.
Edit/Update: By basic food I meant nothing super fancy or exotic specific. I did not mean to imply that the food was SIMPLE or of low quality because it was good food, freshly made to order and it wasn't sitting under heat lamps or anything. I also don't recall seeing the kid's menu but the fact that the staff was all to happy to make something kid friendly was more than good for us. I don't usually talk much about bathrooms in a review (unless there is a major issue needing to be addressed) but since the restaurant mentioned it in their reply; I can attest to the fact that their main bathroom was THE MOST well appointed women's restroom I have ever visited in a coffee house. Not even Panera Bread has as much STUFF tailored to women and babies in their bathrooms. The bathroom is not tiny by any means and it is CLEAN. There were panty liners (the good kind), Parent's Choice Diapers, tampons (in light and medium), wipes and cleaning sprays, plenty of soap and PLENTY of tissue. It was all neat and orderly and conveniently located too....
Read moreI was looking forward to trying this place out. I got the regular coffee and my sister was very happy with her espresso. The Meat Trio was so good and very hearty. We tried it with the sweet potato and another with red potato. Both were great. I didn't realize the french toast was more of a bread pudding type deal. I normally love bananas foster anything, but this time I preferred the berry although I wouldn't order either again. I was surprised by the service. When I approached the counter there were four ladies behind the counter. Two had their backs against the counter facing the other two while they chatted. It took a few moments for one to acknowledge me with a "hi" but it was more like I was just interrupting. It took another few moments for the one in charge of the register to turn around and help me. Once I had her attention, she was great. Very friendly. Unfortunately this exact thing happened each of the three times I approached the counter to order something. I totally understand if they were busy but they were just having a conversation amongst themselves. Despite the reviews, I didn't think this place was any more kid-friendly than any other restaurant not geared towards children. Personally, I'll probably be leaving my toddler at home next time. I want to give this place another shot to really...
Read moreI love the aesthetic of the store! Very different from other places I’ve seen. The coffee there is like the other locations, which is wonderful. Their food menus seems to be more expansive at this location! I tried the Locs Benedict and blueberry lemon crepes! Both were thoroughly delightful and delicious! I think the serving portions are perfect too!
I’ve heard from others that rooted can be pricy, but you definitely get what you pay for! They use wonderful ingredients and care in both their food and drink! I’d be glad to pay these prices for better quality and supporting the staff’s livelihood!
Lastly, I would have given 5 stars either way, but the store was super kind to store my daughter’s boots in their lost and found and kept them safe. When I came back for them, a male barista gave them to me and was very kind and understanding!
Very outstanding shop, and with the Christ-like atmosphere,...
