EditedI am editing my review as I have seemed to run into a problem that should be addressed. Earlier this month I stopped into the Smoke shop and noticed that they had a “Studenglass” on display and was on sale. I have been wanting one of these units for a while and seen that the store had this unit listed for $229 plus 25% off. I was excited as everywhere you look they go used for more than this price, and on Studenglass they are going for $599. I used Facebook messenger and contacted the manager of the store asking if the Studenglass was in fact part of the 25% off all glass sale, and I was told yes. On 1/7 I went into the store and asked the guy behind the counter if I could get the Studenglass from the case and that I would like to buy it. I told him I was shocked at the price considering they go for $599 on the store’s website. I guy helped me check out and I was on my way. Fast-forward to this week. I was looking on Studenglass’s website about accessories and seen that they said I could register a purchase. So when I clicked on the link to register the website asked me to input the serial number from the unit. I looked all over the unit and didn’t see anything. When I looked up online it stated that the SN should be somewhere near the stem or on a holographic sticker on the bottom. I looked all over the unit trying to find the SN and couldn’t find it. So I emailed the company and asked if the unit was real as it was missing the SN. Today (1/23) I got an email response from Studenglass saying that there should be a SN on the box, which when purchased there was no box, only a travel case. Or the SN would be found as previously mentioned. I emailed them back with a picture and stated it was no where to be found. I got the email back (Provided in this post) stating that they have NEVER produced a silver unit and that in fact my unit was a fake. Knowing this I called the store this morning when they opened. The same male that checked me out answered the call. I asked if I could speak to the owner or get contact information for him. He asked what it pertained to and I told him about a purchase that was fake coming from the store. I was informed that all sales are final. I told him that was unacceptable as they sold me a fake unit. I than asked if there was a manager I could talk to or get a number for. He than gave me the stores manager cell.
I called this morning (1/23) and explained everything that had happened prior to the manager when she answered. The manager was nice, understanding, and vary friendly. Anyone who is reading this, she was amazing and I truly feel bad for her being in the middle. She stated that she would call the owner and see what he had to say. A little later I got a call back. Paraphrasing I was told that the now owner bought the store from another person and that he was unaware of the fake, but it boiled down to not his problem. I was told he would give me $100 instore credit and wanted the unit back. I told the manager I felt that was unacceptable as I was still loosing out on my end $100 for buying a fake from their store. She was understanding on the fact and offered another 50% discount on top of that giving me essentially a $200 instore credit. I told her I would like my money back and would return the unit. The manager stated she would call the owner and talk to him. I little later I got a call from the male employee from the manager’s cell. The male employee was rude and told me that I knew what I was getting. He stated I made the comment about it being so cheap. I told him that I would like to talk to the manager, and when asked why I told him he was being rude. He started to say the manager is…. Then stated that he was making the call for her. I reiterated that I would like to speak to the manager (As I could hear her in the background). To which he handed her the phone. I was told the owner would do $100 cash back and $!00 instore, and she was informed that if I had counter offer or issues to hang up on me.
