Hands down, the best authentic Mexican food you will find, west of the West Metro! LOL! It's about a 45 minute drive from Minneapolis, but completely worth it!!! I remember a few years ago when they first came here, they were on the news and in the paper as the best Taco Truck in the Midwest. Well, they've parked the truck, they still use it to cater for parties and such. But now they have a fabulous little restaurant in Glencoe, Minnesota off Desoto and Chandler. An unassuming exterior leads into what resembles sort of a cafeteria-style sit down restaurant. Order at the counter and pick up at the window when they call your number. The lengua gordita was absolutely fantastic, and the refried beans inside may have been the best I've ever had. I also loved the addition of avocado over the traditional tacos. There is something to be said for the Mexican food in Glencoe. Everywhere we go is so good, but I think that Taqueria takes the lead.

The staff at this restaurant are unmatched in how friendly they are. My husband and I checked them out on a recommendation from our neighbor and brought our 10-month old with. I asked what kind of beans came in the burritos and they brought me out a sample to try, along with a few chips. We gave some to our son and he was a huge fan.
