I'm typically not one to write reviews unless I love service provided. I wish this was the case for this Dairy Queen.
My family has frequented this DQ since we moved to the area over a year ago. I am sad to say that these photos tell a story of nearly every encounter I've had at this restaurant. The food is fine, don't get me wrong. However out of the tens of times I've been here, my order has been correct no more than twice. Today I received my food and upon arriving home realized that my upcharged triple burger only had two patties, my upcharged large fry was not present, only two regular fries.
On the topic of fries, it's incredibly frustrating when every other location I've ever visited in my entire lifetime will completely fill the fry container, here it's commonplace that your fry box is 1/2 to 2/3rds full max on most days. That large fry becomes a regular and the regular becomes a small fry. This is a consistent issue I've hard. It's embarrassing to go back to the worker and ask them to fill up the fries more because I personally think a meal should include more than 8 fries.
Half of the time it's not worth the effort to get these errors fixed, I live 5 minutes away and by the time I check the food at home it will be cold no longer fresh in the time it takes me to go back, get my correct items and go back home. I've never once been offered fresh food to rectify this, only an extra handful of fries dumped on top of the cold ones and I'm sent on my way.
I'm an easy person to please. I work hard for my money and when I pay for dinner after a 12 hours shift I expect to get everything I paid for. Or I expect the issue is rectified when I politely ask that I get my correct items. I understand mistakes happen but this has been too consistent for too long.
I don't plan on returning to this DQ for the...
Read moreI get mocha moolates a certain way due to not liking the regular topping. So I always ask for that when ringing up in case they need to charge me more (which is what they have done in the past). The lady didn't put the normal whip cream or the topping I asked for on the moolate, so I waited for the other customers to be helped and then I asked her again for the whip cream and the particular topping I had wanted. She put the whip cream on and then the regular topping. I mentioned that I had asked for a different topping (twice) and she said "this is the one that goes on there" and turned to help another customer. Anyway, I waited again for the other customers to be helped and then asked her for the right topping and she just put it on top of the one I didn't like. Didn't scoop off the one I didn't like, just put the other one on top of it. At that point I was just like screw it so I waited for the other customers and then just asked for my money back because that one flavor in there ruins the whole thing for me. She did give me my money back, which I'm grateful for. I thought mentioning it at the beginning of my order would make things easier but I guess not. I've given this place the benefit of the doubt but this isn't the first time it's happened so I'm done trying, unfortunately. People can ask for substitutions on other things and it's not a problem but this substitution must be, I guess. Im not trying to be a picky person but we all have our likes and dislikes and that was mine, and exactly why I always mention...
Read moreCustomer service is 90% of the time very unfriendly. The other evening I went in and stood at the register for about 2 minutes with no one up front. I was standing so I could see into the kitchen and there was someone standing there and they looked at me and kept working. Didn't call for someone to help me or say hey we will be with you in just a moment. It was probably another minute before someone came to help me and they were not friendly.
Right now they are under construction because of an accident and their building has big signs on it saying they are open durning the construction. The sign on the door says their hours are 11-9 but the doors are locked. I called and they said they will be opening at 1pm. No sign on the door or anything. There were a lot of people walking up and seeming very annoyed that the door was locked but the hours say they are open, I am. Also, why would you open just after the lunch rush?
One time I ordered online a pick up an order to take home (live about 15 min away) and forgot to look to make sure it was correct and when I got home it was not correct. I called 5 or 6 times over the next couple days and they all went to voicemail and no one ever called me back. I finally got through to someone and was told oh yeah we got your messages....
I can say this because I actually own my own retail business. Customer service is top priority. If you are not communicating and friendly with your customers they will...
