Jeremiah's Italian Ice — Local services in Gonzales

We were excited to learn that Jeremiah’s Ice had made it to Gonzales as we love it when visiting Florida. It’s always a favorite when in Baton Rouge as there are a few locations that are great.

Yesterday was their first day…they started extremely slow. Opening was at 12:00 and looks like they got started at 12:00…most employees are there early in prep for an opening of a business.

Took 45 min total to get my order. Usually takes about 10-15 min max at other locations.

Italian ice melted on the way home—drive is like 10 min. I usually order the cake batter Flavorite…they put chocolate Italian ice at the bottom. It does not come with any chocolate.

Like I said it’s new to Gonzales but not new to Louisiana. Just expected it to be a good experience as it is great in...

Came through the drive through just to check this place out since it’s new, I’ve heard plenty of good things so I had decent expectations. Ordered a pina colada jelati for myself, friend wanted a cake batter jelati with cookie crumble. For context, the “jelati” from what I’ve seen is a combination of soft serve and Italian ice, which sounded appealing at the time since it was a hot day. Instead I received a coconut Italian ice, no pineapple flavor or soft serve was seen or tasted. The other jelati on the other hand was missing its toppings, so me and my friend both left quite unsatisfied. I don’t think I’ll be recommending this place any time soon, really disappointed to have this as my first experience...

If someone is going to stand outside to take orders before customers even get to the main menu board, they should provide a list of the current flavors that you can select from. Otherwise, it’s just wasted time and frustration. The girl taking orders outside never told us what flavors they did have, just kept saying “we don’t have that flavor, we only have the ones listed on the local website”. But you shouldn’t have to check a website before going to any location just to know what you can order.

I ended up leaving the line without ordering anything bc I’m not going to keep asking for a flavor until I land on one you have. There’s really a common sense approach to it that the management...
