Piggly Wiggly — Local services in Graceville

Stopped by the store today between 2 and 3 pm. Store clean and friendly staff. The complaint we have is due to the management that came up to register across from customer service service. An elderly gentleman was ahead of my husband and was hard of hearing. The cashier was doing her job and called the manager to her register. The elderly man was paying for his purchase with coins that were in plastic casing. He paid with four coins that he thinks they are dollar value when they are $10.00 coins. The gentleman done the same thing last week according to the cashier. So this manager is aware of the true value of the coins. It's a shame that he is being exploited like this by someone who is in management. I hope she learns a lesson! Shameful!! Such a nice, clean store. Be aware of this. The manager and owners are to be commended for having a business in this town. It's unfortunate that I saw little to no town support and most would drive to Chipley or Dothan to get better prices and selection. This common practice destroys town businesses. This place does the best they can with what little they have. If it wasn't for the non locals and contractors, then this location will surely struggle if not close with the way our economy is headed. Pricey for a Piggly Wiggly. Unexpectedly asked for a membership card. No other Piggly Wiggly I know of has one. Now they do have an epic deli, as well as "Reduced for Quick Sell" meat section. Quite spacious aisles. Cashiers were talking about personal drama instead of paying attention to customers. Overall, clean store. 4 Stars. Thank you!
