Cook County YMCA — Local services in Grand Marais

Pool was fun, water was warm, lots of kid toys. The curly brown haired lady was a total jerk. She corrected her co-worker or employee in front of everyone over a misunderstanding, which is humiliating, and treated me like a jerk for asking a simple question. So, my brother and his wife only paid $10 to get in and my wife and I paid $20. All I did was ask why and she got all defensive and was saying that she could made my brother pay $20 too. It's not like I was arguing, I just had what I thought was a legitimate question. My wife and my brother couldn't believe how rude she was. All this in front of other people. If this person is management she needs to be fired for how she treats her customers...

The signs clearly state clothing appropriate for working out should be worn. My wife was wearing a sport top made specifically for working out and was told she has to put a tshirt on over the top...while people were walking around in swimwear way more revealing than what my wife was wearing. Weight room was extremely hot and humid with only one wall mounted fan. Locker rooms are tight. It could use more weight plates, I had to pull 45lb plates from everywhere in the weight room. I usually go to the YMCA once a week. This week the hot tub was closed down. No one informed me of this before wasting $10.00 to go use the hot tub. There were no big signs or warning, nor was I told when I checked in. I was told I should have checked the website, I'm a local. Secondly everytime I am in the locker room the floor is disgusting, and has food on it... and the bugs in the shower stalls landing on me and my fabric body scrub I put on my face is also disgusting.
