I placed an online order through the Dairy Queen app on 09/14/2025 at 4:15 p.m. for $40.55. The order included three mini Blizzards (advertised as $0.85 each with a $1 purchase), a hot fudge sundae, and a 6-piece chicken strip basket with extra gravy and extra Texas toast. They handed me the ice cream immediately, but by the time the chicken strip basket was finally ready, everything was melting all over. The Blizzards and sundae were a mess, and in the end I tossed two Blizzards and the entire hot food basket in the garbage. Only one Blizzard and the sundae were salvageable. When I questioned the staff about the $0.85 Blizzard deal, the guy working basically told me I was wrong. Maybe he was technically correct, but like so many companies, DQ loads promotions with fine print and conditions that leave customers feeling tricked. On top of that, the staff didn’t use basic common sense — no reason to serve ice cream before hot food when it’s part of the same online order. Needless to say, it was a frustrating experience. The owner should do the right thing and issue a refund, because this was money wasted on food that went straight into the trash. Dairy Queen should care more about satisfied customers than excuses.

Probably the cutest DQ I've ever been to! Pulled up out front, and there's a campfire going with lawn chairs arranged around it to sit and enjoy. There's also a pergola with tables that would accommodate larger groups if needed. But the atmosphere was just quaint and adorable! When I went inside, it reminded me of a place that was opened in the early 70's but carefully maintained. Not run down at all, just harkening back to a different era in it's styling. The staff were friendly and courteous, and it seemed that they had people working there who really wanted to be there which was a refreshing change from most fast food locations these days.

The service really diminished the food. The employees were too busy playing on their phones, making videos, and they messed up our order in the process. When we were trying to get someone's attention to tell them our order was wrong, they were still on their phone, as seen in my photo. It's absolutely ridiculous.

Stopped to order a small shake. The girl helping us was leaning against the counter and never stood up to acknowledge me. Placed order then 3 minutes later my daughter wanted a small sundae. She received her Sundae immediately while we continued to wait 7-8minutes for a small vanilla shake. We were the only people in there besides one person before us who was waiting forever for his food. We ate outside and I had to go back in for napkins. The 4 staff were all standing around laughing and immediately stopped once I walked closer. Completely unprofessional. They could've been wiping down tables or cleaning up the restaurant or feces on the toilet. This place is disgusting, extremely rude staff and dirty. Not to mention my son had stomach issues immediately after DQ. I honestly think they put something in his shake with how they were laughing. Maybe because I didnt tip as didnt deserve it. My business will go to local ice cream shops in Grand Marais,...

Went here with my family last night after ordering, it took 30 minutes while workers chatted and paid no mind to the clearly long line of customers. Was greeted with a scowl from the cashier. When we received our food my son wouldn't finish the milkshake which has never happened as pretty sure whatever milk was used was curdled and inedible. There were workers huddled in back looked as they were attempting to form their first thought as whoever made my son's shake clearly had none. DQ fan relations team if your "sorry about our bad experience" then why don't you start by taking action and firing the chick with a phone in her face 24/7. Ps had stomach problems after probably from the...
