Now - I've been playing Indian Trails a looong time. The rating is tough to come up with because some things are outstanding and some things are quite poor.
The practice area is a gem - best in town. Now comes the "quite poor". If you're going to charge mid-premium dollars (it's now $50 to play 18 with cart - on an executive course) you need to do the things required for those $$. You can't treat the course like a $20 per 18 course anymore. Ask any real golfer the difference between a $20 course and a $50 course. The bunkers need to have the correct amount of sand and manicured - and the tee boxes pristine. The bunkering on the course (since the architectural changes) are beautiful but need daily attention. The tee boxes - especially the short #8 par three need immediate attention. Because it's a 100 yard par 3 there are deep divots every square inch of the sizable tee box. It's been like that for years. Harness the area of the tee box and resod - you can't present this course like a crap course when you're charging mid-premium dollars anymore.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was very disappointed with my experience here, especially it being my first time. I booked a tee time online for me and my buddy at 8:20. Online it states rates before 9am for 18 holes is $29. We arrive there and find out that we have been randomly paired because of the golf now software, and the rates only apply to 9 holes. Thatās really sneaky behavior and I wasnāt happy to start. I then go ahead and ask for a student discount instead and the super outgoing club house guy huffed and puffed about having to cancel the transaction. He also included a sarcastic comment about how $5 is $5. I didnāt acknowledge him and I just walked out. Oh itās not done though... we tee off at 8:19, club house guy comes out again and tells us weāre supposed to be on the back. We go pickup my buddys ball and are stuck behind 3 foursomes the rest of the day. What an absolute nightmare in the clubhouse, Iād be posting fake rates too if this how my staff ran a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIncredibly rude staff. I went with someone who hadn't golfed in a long time, and was giving a few quick pointers before teeing off on the first hole. Mind you that we had waited for 5 minutes for the person in front of us to play long enough so we could go, but there was nobody waiting behind us at the time. Immediately Lance came running down chiding us saying we needed to speed it up. We had been playing for less than 10 minutes and had already teed off the 2nd when Lance sent someone up to tell us again we needed to speed it up. Again, there was nobody immediately behind us. At that point, it ruined what we had hoped would be an enjoyable time playing golf for the first time in a long while. Aside from that, the golf course itself was in a nice condition. But the behavior of the staff was...
