This was an awful experience. This was our first time at this resturant. The service was either on their first day of being in a restaurant ever or just lost. There is only 7 or 8 tables in the whole place and 4 tables had patrons including my table with two waiters who were unable to keep up or didn't care to. We ordered our drinks when we sat down and watched two tables that came in after us get their drinks first. There was no system to how their method of service went. Then got our pot of hot tea without any cups for 5 mins, which wasn't our entire drink order even. We got half of our food order with no explanation of if the other half was coming or anything. We had to ask for the rest of our drink order. The food was ok once we got it all. The atmosphere is ok but the service really...

Today I decided to go here with my family, upon arriving, it took about 10 minutes for the waitress to bring out our drinks, also she never brought us any straws, another thing I found that was strange, was the food was brought out to one person well before anyone else had gotten their meal, this continued until everyone had gotten their food. On a better note, the food was quite excellent, I ordered the pad thai , and I found that it was adequately spicy. However the poor service continued, the dishes were never cleared from us in between courses, and then we were promptly handed our bill, without being asked if we wanted desserts. The food was excellent, but due to the extremely poor service, I will not be...

Stopped in on a whim while passing through GR with a co-worker (I'm from Kalamazoo). We both LOVED the food. So flavorful! He is from CA and when I asked him if he thought it was as great as I did he agreed the food was outstanding. I have looked for years for a decent Thai place and this one hit the spot! Too bad it is 50 miles away from me! My BF also loved the place and he has also lived in CA as well as FL and has also been to Thailand. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves authentic Thai food as much as I do. Be careful though, if you order it medium spicy the food...

Nu Thai Bistro has been around for about ten years or so. It's always been very tasty. The pad Thai tastes amongst the best in Grand Rapids. For restaurant papaya salad, it's delicious. The flavor from the fish sauce isn't overwhelming but still provides the right amount of flavor. The peanut curry noodle here is my favorite. The flat, wide noodles are smothered in a thick peanut curry sauce that leaves your mouth happy. The one negative thing to say is their service is not always the best. I've almost not come back because of it at times but the flavor brings me back time and time again.

It's a good Thai place. I visited Michigan and wanted to try out different cuisines. Having tried Thai, I ordered Satay chicken, and received this photographed fried teriyaki-type chicken. Other than that, Chicken Basil Fried rice and Chicken Panang curry was unexpectedly scrumptious! The ambience and artwork is quite authentic and unique. I would recommend this place on a lazy weekend afternoon.

Food at Thai Bistro is generally very good. The menu has a lot of options for those with a breadth of tastes. In restaurant service is generally good and waitstaff is attentive. Sometimes menu items not available and we can probably chalk that up to Covid- related supply chain disruptions. Take out is typically piping hot, so it will not cool off too much on the way home.
