National Supermarket — Local services in Grand Rapids

The Nacional supermarket is this Latin Store where you can find mostly everything you’ve ever needed for a wonderful Hispanic home shopping experience. Moreover, you can avoid feelings homesick for a while. Help your self to get what you are use to or fulfill your taste with yummy Hispanic meals… If you are graving a homie kind of food, this place is 1 of the kind for excellence! If you know you wanted to eat the right thing, you will find it there. And if you long to get rid of cravings or even your hungover.. you have choices…Lol. It’s true. So I have so many reasons to say this Supermarket is One of my favorite places to shop at… There is qualify products, in addition, the costumer service is really one of the best around. If some one doesn’t like the packaging.. shame on them.. the important thing is the quality of food .. you are not eating the box.. ridiculous.. Maybe you need to be more careful handling packages on your ride.. you can find this happy environment from the moment you get in. I found my self singing and dancing all the sudden while waiting for Jacky to fill my plate with that yummy food… I better stop Cos im getting hungry again… so yes, 👍.. it’s so nice ! Call and get your orders ready, not time wasting… that’s so convenient…...

We recently picked up a catering order for a party of 25 people at National Supermarket and left there livid. We were disappointed in the packaging of the food and the overall lack of professionalism. Limited addition shoes were covered in chicken sauce because the container we were given was way overfilled. After making a mess on the store floor by simply transferring the container from the counter to our cart, I asked the lady helping us if she could pour out some sauce (it was a shallow container filled almost to capacity) She recommended I just take it like that with a piece of cardboard underneath... Never once did she apologize. Instead she was bold enough to try and sell us the shoe cleaning product and states that "At least you didn't get burned." An added bonus was that now my Acura needs to be professionally detailed due to all the leaks from the poorly...

Would never shop here again. They sell old fish & meat thats overly frozen. They sold us cotija cheese that was not cotija cheese and they said it was just a “bad batch” but were still selling it as is.. Their off the shelf items are extremely overpriced. They sell 25lbs of sams clubs Jasmine rice for over $51 and its $18 at Sams ( i understand you need to make a profit, but that much?) Cooking oil is triple the price from Aldis & meijer prices. This goes on for many many things. Its ridiculous and sad. Plus this place always looks dirty and feels extremely crowded. I dont recommend this...
