Grand Rivers Antiques — Local services in Grand Rivers

I love this place for their knife collection, they have so many and the prices really are amazing. My only complaint is the hours. It is never consistent and not updated on Google. I am not local, I only drive through the area for work trips so I always try to stop by when I can. One time I stopped and Google said they were open and the sign said they were closed on Thursdays (it was Thursday). Another time I stopped around 10 and the sign said 10:30 even though Google said 10. This last time Google said open at 10, and when I got there they were not open. The only sign I saw besides the closed sign on the door said that they were closed on Sundays, so I thought maybe they were still on the 10:30 opening time. I decided to wait and see, and in that time I watched 3 people pull up and try to get in but it was clearly closed. One guy seemed really annoyed which I can't blame him. 10:30 came and went and the store still wasn't open so I left. First off it seems to be a nice store but the people there do not seem friendly at all. The guy behind the counter walk by with out saying a word. Then when I asked if they had a 45-70 lever action he told me he been dealing with guns for over 30 years and never heard of it. I told him I had a 45-60 and a 45-70 just need a 45-90 to finish out my set. Well it seems he did not believe me about a 45-60 as he Google it and told the woman there o there is a 45-60 AMD she stated he said 45-90. Then he found one but was out of stock. He did say he was not saying he did not believe me he just never heard of it and I do get that some people who are not diehards into guns dont seem know. That was not the issue I had it was just there manner of lack of customer service. When your a customer service based business dont be shity to them. I walked in there with 5 grand to spend and walked out with 4,970 dollars. Well at least they saved...

It was a very pleasant surprise to walk into an unassuming antique store only to find that is also a gun store and has an astounding selection of knives on display. Brands that I noted include Spyderco, Civivi, Artisan, Buck, Microtech, Boker, CJRB, CRKT, Kershaw, and many more. I purchased an Artizan Knives model for $60.
