First time visiting this microbrewery in Grandview. They offer four flagship beers and six seasonal beers that are on a rotating basis. I asked for their most popular seasonal beer and Bryan recommended their
Festive Fraulein Lager
I thoroughly enjoyed drinking this light but flavorful lager enough to order a 32 oz growler to go
I was there to have a meal while I was waiting for my car to charge up over at the local ChargePoint station.
There is also a cafe attached to the brewery called the Chive serving a menu based on many locally produced products. I had their 8 oz bison burger, sweet potato and potatoes chips with the choice of bleu cheese dipping sauce. An excellent choice to have with my beer
While this was a quiet Saturday evening for them. I was very comfortable while I had a drink and a meal. I plan on returning again to use my discount chip on my next purchase so be sure to ask for your poker chip to get your discount
Their location in Grandview off of highway 150 makes it a great place to gather after cycling with your group or as a solo
One last thought, you can tell everybody there was living their dream and passion of providing a great beer and great food.
I think this will be a great local place to frequent in the coming months
Local people providing great local goods and services from the surrounding...

Read moreI wanted to like this place but it has serious flaws that will likely prevent it from being more than a passion project. This building appears large from the street but there is not a lot of room for drinking-one row of 4 tops with plastic molded chairs and one nicely done bar with full back barstools. The decor is "hipster garage" with reclaimed deck wood adorning the partition to the bathroom and a couple of garage doors opening you up to some picnic tables. The beer is OK. I thought the Kolsch was flat in taste and carbonation. I thought it was tacky that they wouldnt pour you a water backer but had you go over to a water station with some old cups- got it message received I guess. This place also closes at 11pm on a friday night and when I came in at 10pm it had no food and had about 6 people in their 50s and 60s drinking at the bar. They had a cafe/bodega type of thing and instead of bar food like snacks and nuts it was useless stuff like overpriced wild honeys and soaps. Confusing. Kind of a low...
