Dollar General — Local services in Granite Shoals

I come here pretty often and I gotta say the new remodeling looks very nice and the employees are very sweet. but there are some things I would like to point out, first whenever I need assistance there a young lady there, out on the floor most days I come, she's always on the phone and I can't ever just ask for help because I don't want help from someone who seems like they don't care about their job. Another day I come in and this young lady I had asked of her name, her name is Stephanie she helps me makes my visit a more subtle and better , very kind, she has etiquette and I got Amaaaazzzing assistance from her, she helped me find everything I needed, no distractions, no phones, no cursing ! bravo yall hired a good one there. I thought she was a manager but she was just a cashier. She seemed so professional and knew her stuff when it came down to it. ❤️ that's why I gave yall a 4 star...

this is the worst Dollar General I have ever had the misfortune of shopping in. The staff constantly disappears and leaves customers waiting at the front or leaving because they're tired of waiting. Not sure who is doing the hiring, but they seem to be scraping the bottom of the barrel with staff. I'm sure the underwhelming pay has something to do with the crappy service or lack of service or no service that you get going into this place. That's OK there's a Family Dollar next-door. The thing you need to remember Dollar General is you need us, We don't need you. it's no wonder people steal from this place, there's almost never a cashier up front to check you out. kind of makes you just want to walk out with everything that you took time...

The manager of the store told my son he couldn't wear a mask and only did so when I was around the corner. When he told me, I went to ask her why he wasn't allowed to and she said it was because that was HER store and if he wore a mask she would call the police and have us escorted off the property. I have never in my life understood why adults think that speaking to a child and not the parent first is ever okay. And to be so condescending and rude shows that this woman doesn't need to be in customer service. You would think after being closed down by the city for all of the disorganization you would appreciate your job and your customers. I'm still waiting on a call back from corporate because this is...
